they clearly think this was much more serious than the racist abuse Vinicius Jr gets at away grounds

Cup Quarter Finals here this week - first 2 games last night, other ties tonight.

In the early game, Eintracht finally remembered how to put the ball in the net beating Union Berlin 2-0 for their first win in 7.

Late game saw Freiburg record their first ever win against Bayern in Munich - Bayern took an early lead to a goal that should have been chalked off but VAR is not being used in the cup* - Freiburg equalised before half time before Bayern missed some gilt edge chances in the second half. Freiburg were then awarded a penalty for handball in the 92nd minute which they scored.

* Rules in German cup is that amateur sides are always drawn at home - as some of these stadiums are no more than a local park with a few seats around the pitch, it is not possible to have VAR at every tie, so instead of having it at some and not others, decision was made to just not use it at all.
