Know he is a bit of a club legend, but that seems like a bit of a risk, especially after the season they had.

Not to mention they've done the same with Steve Morrison and Mark Hudson and neither worked. Maybe they are writing off this season and putting it down as a one off?

Let's hope it's true, they'll struggle with him as their boss

After a season where they only stayed up on the back of our point deduction, granted they might have taken their foot off the pedal when they secured safety, it is still a massive risk to appoint someone unproven.

Mental when Jones, Mowbray and Wilder are available.

Hound Hardly a roaring success at forest or cardiff though was he?

I’d rather stay well clear and look for someone who has managed in L1

No, but I'd rather have someone who was ok in the main at Championship level rather than someone who was successful at National League personally.

Again, it wouldn't be another name that would get me jumping out of my seat, but on paper at least, there are worse candidates mentioned in my opinion.

Sacked by Forest after bottling the playoffs, then starting the season with 5 straight defeats. Sacked by Cardiff after only keeping them up due to Reading's points deduction. Absolutely not.

PATRIQT Mowberry

Mowbray would be a decent appointment though, and I will be able to get inside news as he is a friend of a family member.

How about neither and we get someone who has been good in L1 or 2.

Lots of people betting on Chris Davies (yes the assistant to Brendon Rodger’s and has been a coach here before) by the looks of it. One of the few people that haven’t been managers before I would be content with.

If he comes with a similar possession style football, I'd giver him a go. Defences in L1 would be ran ragged chasing the ball on the deck and not in the air.

Getting Notts County out of non-league is hardly amazing. They should be a league one club based on their size and support. I'd be underwhelmed if we got their manager in, does he even play a style that suits our players?

Another ok, but underwhelming choice if that was to happen. Has his experiences with basket case clubs though I suppose. (Although hopefully we will have that title stripped off us soon).

Very much a possession based game, but with a focus on attack rather than Stam's tippy-tappy on the halfway line style.
Even with a bigger budget than most, 107 points and 117 goals is amazing.

Whether he'd want to leave is a different matter. He'll probably be looking at another promotion push next season, which would probably see both clubs in L1 in 24/25, and County probably in a healthier state.

I can see this happening as it would be a typical Reading appointment. Plus, he is a Welsh coach and could be a buddy of Bowen. Personally, not the type of appointment I want and I’d just see the club making the same mistakes.

I'd be more than happy with that. Why are we suddenly a club that doesn't want to give a decent coach a chance at being a manager? He's got top experience with a very good manager in Rodgers, as both a tactician and how his teams play football; so he's had good schooling. His contacts at Leicester and Liverpool might help with a few loans too.

People’s heads been turned by a few minor rumours about Wilder.

Not really sure how people can go round demanding us to be financially sensible and all that then say the club should go all in for Wilder following suggestions the club are unsure to whether they can afford him.
