Loafer Granada and Las palmas all but up now

Las Palmas are in 2nd place, just 1 point ahead of 3rd place Alaves

Next weekend is the final match of the season and is Las Palmas Vs Alaves

Also if they draw and 4th placed Levante win by 5 more goals than Las Palmas score, then Levante would go up on goals scored as their GD ans H2H would be the same

If Grenada lose next weekend and Levante win by any scoreline then I think Grenada won't go up

10 years after they appeared in the QF (and were 1 minute away from the SF) of the Champions League, Malaga are relegated down to the 3rd division

If you didn't know, the Qatari owner is still caught up in multiple court cases over the ownership, and accusations of money laundering through the club. The general consensus is that he bought them to help his profile and land big business deals in the area, which he did. Once he got what he wanted he sold off all their decent players and spent that money on himself and his family.

He had told fans who want him out that he will never sell Malaga, and when he dies his children will own them.

Said a few weeks back that if there was a chance for a big European upset then Portugal had a slight chance of being the ones to offer it due to the fixture list

Benfica, who have been comfortably top for months, are now 1 point clear of Porto and are away to fierce rivals Sporting this evening. Win and they become champions, lose or draw and it goes down to the final game next weekend

Last day in the German 2nd division. 2nd placed Heidenheim have slipped up recently and allowed 3rd place Hamburg to get within a point of them

They are playing the bottom and 2nd bottom teams though. Still, when the pressure is on strange results can happen.

Week early but will be a tense last day. Both games are away and the bottom 2 are already down (bar a GD swing of 15 if Regensburg win and Bielefeld lose).

With Dortmund winning they just need to beat Mainz at home to stop Bayern being Champions for the first time since I moved here. I've been here for a decade.

A lot to play for next week. Union & Freiburg can both still take the final CL place and at the bottom - Augsburg, Stuttgart, Schalke and Bochum are in a relegation battle.

Augsburg cannot go down next week but could end up in the relegation play-off.

3rd bottom will play Heidenheim or Hamburg depending on next weeks results.

Valencia 1-0 Real Madrid.

Should probably be enough to keep Valencia up

Valencia fans the latest to racially abuse Vinicius, who was also sent off for hitting Hugo Duro.

Strangely the VAR didn't show the ref the reason he hit Duro.

Vini Jr's tweet after the game is pretty strong. I reckon he might be off.

[Borja Sanjuan on Twitter] (Spokesman for the City of Valencia and Valencian Socialist party): "I will never defend any racist insult that could have been directed at any player, but that is not what happens with Vinicius. That player is a shame for football"

[Javier Tebas, President of La Liga and former member of far right party, Fuerza Nueva]“…we have tried to explain it to you, but you have not shown up for either of the two agreed dates that you requested yourself. Before criticizing and insulting LaLiga, it is necessary that you inform yourself properly…”

Wonderful people.

[Vini replies to Tebas]
“Once again, instead of criticizing racists, the president of La Liga appears on social media to attack me.

As much as you talk and pretend not to read, the image of your championship is shaken. See the responses to your posts and have a surprise...

Omitting yourself only makes you equal to racists. I'm not your friend to talk about racism. I want actions and punishments. Hashtag doesn't move me.”

Great final day of Segunda to come with both promotion spots still up for grabs. Levante can only make by way of a better GD if they score a boat load of goals as the H2H is equal to Las Palmas.

Grenada vs Leganes (12th place)
Las Palmas Vs Alaves
Levante vs Oviedo (7th place)

the full 6 teams make up the Serie B play offs which start on Friday. Amazing that Palermo, Pisa, Ascoli & Como all failed to win on the last day, and a win for any of them would have seen them in the play offs. Those results means that Venezia, who also lost, took the final play off spot.

The final team in the play offs finished on 49 points. 49 points in the English 2nd tier would have seen you finish 4th from bottom.

I don't know if there is anything to read into there

Valencia media outlet Super Deporte:

“Vinícius Jr, in addition to being stupid, is also an unbearable provocateur.”

Did Parma get promoted? Buffon back in Serie A aged 45 if so. Incredible man.
