This. Would obviously not be good news, but would at least give us a clear route out from this owner.

paultheroyal I do believe the protesting has been well paced, suitable and effective. I also believe it has done enough to grab attention, wake up all parties who is either interested in buying this great club and forcing those (or Dai) to sell.

For the club the deadline for any firm announcement has to be Tuesday 24 October. They have time on their side. That is the next noteable home game, protests will be ramped up that week leading to the Portsmouth game. They have just shy of 3 weeks to get something sorted and positive communications out - we live in hope!

Why 24 October? Something to do with HRMC?

No, our next home game - they wont want another repeat of this knowing it will be stepped up.

Once Darren Witcoop reports administration I'll relax.

It isn't me, but I heard there was a meeting at the training ground yesterday, and it was said administration is imminent.

Think how many journos have reported on us reasonably accurately and have contacts. James Earnshaw, John Percy. If it had been communicated to staff I expect we'd have seen reports by now.

Seriously hope so anyway.

Ok good.

Will wait and see I guess.

There was also apparently a meeting at the training ground between the club and Chris Wilder, and look where that ended up.

Dai will be writing off a lot of money if that’s the case. It does seem like a viable solution to us getting a new owner. I think there’s a chance we could avoid relegation even with another 12 points deduction, if there’s finally an end to this shambles.

Derby were in administration for 10 months. Whilst it may ultimately be what's needed, It's not a quick or painless fix.

We'd be hard pushed to stave off derisory offers for any of our players. Unlike Derby, we don't have 25,000 crowds to fund a team full of youngsters.

If club communications about interested parties under NDA are true, then administration makes no sense given what it would cost Dai. He'd only place us in administration if desperate.

Wouldn't surprise me if Dai's search for additional funding involved lifting up the sofa cushions

I've been told the Administration rumour is not true, and so far the guy with the news has been pretty reliable.

Fantastic; WMTG confirms. Know anything about possible buyers, due diligence etc. and if a deal could be close?

Mr Angry What is irritating is that we are in a great location, have a great stadium and training facilities, and an Academy that is creating added value season by season; I would have thought that for an ambitious local Tech guru or group of wealthy local Tech owners in a consortium, Reading Football Club is a potential sleeping giant and for a relatively modest (for them) outlay, could be a great investment.

Anyone smart knows football clubs are just a way to lose millions. Very few make any profit.

I'm going out on a limb here, but definitely not Orion would be my choice.
