Selles will probably put it in the team for Charlton.

Dirty protest against the ownership I'd say. Good on him.

Harlee Dean when asked if he is ‘looking forward to a 40 game season with #ReadingFC in league one’:

“Well I mean it may not be Reading, it may be somewhere else.”

He also said the club was a sh1tshow, even compared to Birmingham.

I'll gladly drive him somewhere else to sign.

He's been one of our worst players for decades. If Birmingham want him, brilliant!

He's almost certain to never play again for Reading. So of course he's keen to move on. Would you prefer he wanted to just sit around and pick up his wages?

As for his evaluation of the club, how could anyone in their right mind disagree?

I had quite high hopes for him when he joined - a decent, experienced defender, with a desire to show leadership and help the younger players develop. He clearly didn't deliver on any of that. We will probably never know why.

There's no reason to not hope he gets a suitable new club, and to look forward to giving him a hard time on any visits to RG2 he should make with them.

Very much this - not the player I think we all hoped we were getting and if he is not going to be a starter (or even in the conversation to be one) then keeping him on the books makes little sense regardless of what his wage is.

Until new owners come in and sit down with the management to decide about the playing side of things Harlee is not leaving the football club. Maybe the management want him around as a player or just for sharing experience with younger players or to maybe bring into the coaching side of the game. Alternatively perhaps, when the ownership is sorted the club will look to come to a mutual agreement to pay up the rest of his agreement before he's o.o.c. next summer.

Probably not a priority right now.
