Home shorts colour

I've noticed we seem to periodically switch between having blue shorts and white shorts for the home kit.

After a few seasons of having white shorts, we're seemingly back in blue again for next season.

What's everyone's preference for the short colour?

Blue shorts, white socks for me.
White shorts tend to go better with a full colour shirt such as blue or red IMHO.

Blue Shorts, blue & white hooped socks for me. Plus a collar on the shirt

Yellow shirts and Green shorts.

White shorts, but they need a splash of blue, as do the socks. And a decent amount of blue on the shirt, especially the back... or we end up looking like Leeds from behind. Yeurch!!!

The little blue squares on the white shorts from the mid-late 90s kit basically.

Reading FC Women - Probably better with blue shorts, for the same reason England Women don't wear white shorts (google/ask your mum/ teacher to explain it)

Reading FC Men - I personally don't mind, as long as it's one of the other. Probably say white is more traditional yet the 106 season wore blue and that didn't do us any harm.

I doubt the kit manufacturers will want to do two different colours for the men and women, so to show solidarity with the Reading Womens team let's go with blue. #girlpower


Now, Away shirts and Third Choice shirts - Would be nice to have some hoops like the grey/black kit from a few seasons ago.

I agree. I also like lots of hoops and hooped sleeves but I think practicality-wise, blue is probably better for shorts/socks. You can only do so much with kits and they have to have a new one every year.

If it was up to me, we'd just always have the Robin Friday-era kit and never change.

Plus I think having blue shorts means the men and women both have the same kits which is probably what the club would like, and I have no issue with that.
