3 games to go in Portugal

and in 12 days time......they play each other in the Lisbon derby!! :o

Because they use H2H in Portugal, and their other game this season was a draw, it means if they both win their games next weekend then when they play each other the weekend after it becomes a match where the winner is the league champion. And they are huge rivals who really hate each other too

Bayern 2 points away from the title now and will likely win the league this weekend - they travel to Leipzig.

With Freiburg & Leipzig facing the top 2, Eintracht Frankfurt could qualify for the CL via the league for the first time with a win in the local derby at Mainz.

A massive game at the bottom on Friday night as bottom club Bochum travel to Heidenheim who occupy the relegation play-off spot.

A win for the hosts will relegate Bochum and bring them in to touching distance of Hoffenheim and St Pauli.

In the 2. Bundesliga - the now annual Hamburg choke is in full swing as they lose back to back home games and have only won 1 of the last 5 games. Their GD is worth another point but the gap to 3rd is just 3 points, so any further slip ups will really crank up the pressure on them to finally end their seven year exile from the top flight.

Boavista also given themselves a shot at finishing in the relegation play off spot rather than just dropping down, and they did look doomed not so long ago

Their next game is against AVS who sit 3 points ahead in the play off spot. they drew earlier in the season, so if Boavista beat them then they take their relegation play off spot, but lose and they are relegated.

(Boavista also have Porto left to play so really they need to go all out to win in the AVS match to not get relegated)

that is one crazy race for promotion. Shame 3rd place is the only play off spot. can't be arsed to look at fixtures but there are sure to be some between this lot

When Ranieri gets it right he gets it right in a big way.

Since he took over (at the time) potentially relegation bound Roma they have won more points than any other team in the Serie A.

He says he won't be there next season though. Back to retirement, until the next rescue call I suppose.

**non Europe**

Neom FC from the Saudi 2nd division win promotion to the Saudi Pro League. They did that by taking over another club 200km away and renaming it Neom, then offering a load of money to players to drop down and join them. Neom is the new city being built in a 200 metre wide line, but Neom doesn't exist yet as its not been built.

congrats Neom I guess. The rags to riches story is alive and well.

Paris FC promoted to Ligue 1.

They'll be playing their next door neighbours PSG next season in their new ground

If Lille can somehow draw at home to Marseille tonight then Strasbourg have a real shot at getting in the CL.

Sporting Lisbon Vs Gil Vicente tonight.

A win for Sporting sets up the mother of all derby matches next weekend.

They’ve been leaning that way for a while though.

Sporting come from a goal down to win 2-1 with 2 late goals. Now top of the table by 3 goals.

huge game at the bottom in portugal last night as Boavista played a relegation rival, AVS, and a loss would have sent them down to the 2nd tier. They were 1-0 down but turned it around and won 2-1 with an 89th minute winner. Means they jump out of the automatic relegation zone and into the relegation play off spot with 2 games to go

Some turnaround for them as they have been bottom and looked doomed for ages, having only won 2 games all season until the end of Feb, but since early March have won 5 of the last 10 games

all 3 at the bottom on the same points now

Boavista have Porto next

The title decider in Portugal was a draw, so it now goes down to the final day

Hamburg score 6 and secure promotion back to the Bundesliga
