Four Of Clubs
Royals and Racers Flackwell won 2-0 with a goal in each half. Barton finished with 9 men after a sending off in each half.
Flackwell will now meet Berkhamsted FC in the final away on Monday after they beat Hadley 5-0 tonight in the other semi.

...sadly Ascot fell at the penultimate hurdle last night in a 1-2 defeat at Hanworth Villa who now go to Uxbridge for the Final.

Uxbridge conceded an equaliser on 100' for the game to go to ET but progressed vs Kingstonian on pens.

A lot of last nights POs and eliminators had some fairly 'crazy' conclusions .....
- in SLP-S AFC Totton rescued themselves at home to Dorchester having been two behind very late on.
They levelled and even led ALL within added on injury time only for Dorchester to claw back to 3-3 on 115'. Totton then won in ET on 118'.

Gloucester took W&H to ET - won on pens after the additional 1/2 hr

I seriously thought W&H would get through after watching them other week against Bracknell

Despite racking-up 14 points from their last six games, Maidenhead are relegated, +3k at York Road today.

Are there any ‘part-time’ teams left in Div.5?

Sad but Maidenhead have stayed in the division for almost a decade without the budget of any of the others that have passed through and certainly no professionalism.

They stuffed Boston 3-0 today but neither of the other results went their way (Wealdstone beat the Halifax beach boys 3-1 and Dagenham drew 1-1 at Solihull after leading for most of the game).

Need to take stock and review where they go next, try and get back up and spend another decade struggling to stay up again or just try and give their supporters a few season of challenging at the other end of a table. Hope they don’t get put into the North section :lol:

Boring Barnet won the NL. Then it was York, FGR, Rochdale, Oldham, Halifax and Southend to contest the play offs. Solihull’s late goal consigned Dagenham to relegation along with Fylde, Maidenhead and Ebbsfleet.

...I was there today - still bemused by how expensive it is to park in M'head these days - seem to have sky-rocketed from when I was a more regular visitor to York Rd pre-VIDS.
A Steward at the match, told me he thought 'Council-run' Car Parks were free on B/Hs - I remarked it wasn't publicised anywhere as such that I had spotted (it was mentioned in generic terms on the Council's own website but being on a vaguely 'inside-track' there, I certainly wasn't putting my trust in that! 8) ) - quite the contrary in fact. :|

..game was a bit 'processionary' once it was clear that 'Daggers' and 'Stones' weren't going to fold and let the 'Magpies' escape the drop.
Though they did what they had to do in the circumstances but will rue dropped points elsewhere in spite of their decent flurry near the end of the term.

- Att 3,017 - Boston sold-out their allocation (800) and were there to party - lots of fancy-dress inflatables etc etc - fair presence from the Ol' Bill too but no trouble that I noticed.

...Oh and with a late flick of the Anorak :mrgreen: I can report that it appears Chester may currently be part-time but I'm not sure Kidderminster fans were too convinced of that following their PO S-F defeat? ....
....And the men from the Deva still have to get past hot-favourites 'Scunny' at Glanford Park (aka Attis Arena) in the Final on Sunday 18th 16:00h KO
- Maidstone play at Boreham Wood in the Southern Final on Sun 18th 12:30 KO

Was not a great day locally elsewhere for our featured clubs either - Flackwell thumped 5-0 at Berko in the Southern Central Div One PO Final :(
The Central Premier divisional PO winners were AFC Telford - 4-2 at Kettering

In the Southern Premier Final Totton bt Gloucester 1-0
In Div One South Evesham bt Malvern by the same score

Looking forward to the league constitutions for the National, Isthmian and Southern Leagues and the weird decisions on who is a northern club this time round.

RFCMod What's the latest with the Jersey Bulls fiasco ?

Still in a confused limbo

Football in Berkshire https://footballinberkshire.co.uk/news/ ... play-offs/ reports the following:

The end of the 2024/25 Combined Counties League Premier Division South has been thrown into chaos after the play-offs were postponed.

Jersey Bulls won their final game of the season, relegating Sandhurst Town in the process, in front of 1,800 home supporters at the weekend but had been notified of a points deduction.

The win made the Channel Island side the title on goal difference from Redhill, but a three point deduction for fielding an ineligible player this season would drop them down to third behind FA Vase finalists AFC Whyteleafe.

The club however have appealed the penalty citing “lack of clarity” on the number of yellow cards the player in question has received.

Writing on social media, Combined Counties League chairman Bob Dalling said: “The Combined Counties League, with The FA announces the Play-off Semi-Finals for its Premier South Division set for this weekend, are postponed.

“The issues reported are not the responsibility of, and not in the control of the League. The County FA are investigating.”

The full Jersey Bulls statement, which came out the day before the Sandhurst fixture said: “This evening Jersey Bulls FC have been notified of a 3-point deduction and a £120 for fielding an ineligible player against Tooting and Mitcham FC recently.

“Administrative staff at Jersey Bulls FC realised an error had been made and reported it to the League and Jersey FA immediately. Despite efforts to set out the significant mitigation the decision based on the lack of clarity on the number of yellow cards, the Combined Counties League have confirmed the 3-point deduction.

“As the club considers it’s options, we’d like to apologise to our amazing players and coaching staff, and ask that our fantastic supporters rally behind the team at this crucial stage of the season.”

The postponement of the play-offs affects Redhill – who would become champions if the deduction is upheld, Whyteleafe, Jersey, Cobham and Fleet Town.

Meanwhile the BBC report that Jersey’s appeal has been rejected but Redhill are also under investigation for a similar offence. Strikes me that the disciplinary process used by the CCL has problems!

The Combined Counties League say they cannot put a timeline on when the Premier Division South play-offs will be played following Jersey Bulls’ appeal against a three-point deduction.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/soccer ... r-AA1E2ZYF

Jersey Bulls have failed in the appeal against a points deduction that cost them the Combined Counties Premier South title.

The islanders were docked three points after played a suspended player in their 4-0 win over Tooting and Mitcham in late March.

The club had appealed to the Football Association (FA) to try and overturn the points deduction, but the appeal was unsuccessful.

The Combined Counties League is assessing a number of other cases of ineligible players, and as yet no dates for the play-offs have been announced.

As it stands Bulls will drop to third place in the league table, although it is understood rivals Redhill are also facing a similar charge to Bulls and, if similarly punished, would drop to third with Whyteleafe winning the title.

In a statement Jersey Bulls say the FA's judgement read:

"Having played an ineligible player, League Rule 6.9 directs that the Club shall have any points gained from the match in question deducted.

"The Appeal Board concluded that there were no exceptional circumstances in this case, and that the process that had been followed was fair."

The case centred on midfielder Toby Ritzema who received 10 bookings - one coming in the FA Vase.

Bulls mistakenly counted that booking as counting towards the 10, and therefore he served a two-match ban in the league when he did not need to.

He subsequently passed the 10-booking threshold in league games, and should have been suspended for the Tooting and Mitcham win on 29 March.

Vase Final Whitstable 2-1 Whyteleafe ...AET
..had to do a double-take on the 'Oysters' goalscorer - mis-read the goal flash and thought they'd started reporting on our nr neighbours due to KO in the 2nd game 8) :P

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
....actually was at the (w)Rec yesterday PM for one of their Divisional FA Cup Finals ...have no serious ill-will towards them after all that time in the wilderness.
... and is hard to credit BUT as I approached from the left here - an unfortunate 'fold' in the material did actually hide a fairly important letter from the 4th word in the 'Proud to be Shirt Sponsors since 2012' slogan .... could possibly have taken a better snap of that or tried to -but assumed that would just be rather crass & juvenile .... still ..... :lol:
I did see some plans in their upstairs bar about developing the North End of the Ground (was the away terrace for those of you familiar with visits from way back - Stuart Beavon's late pen anyone - think it was down that end?)
Didcot FC have issued a statement stating their disappointment at the FA’s decision for the club to remain in the Southern League South after communicating with them during the season that’s it’s financially killing the club.
It’s also looks as if Yately Utd have been moved to the Wessex league next season.
Other news is that Milton Utd will groundshare at Beaconsfield next season and not at Wallingford.
