JJ said existing players have re-signed so why haven’t they been announced. League cleared O’Conner and club keen to get positive news out there before season ticket deadline. So why not announce?

I do vaguely remember a few seasons back a transfer rumour going around and walking to the game the player was front-and-centre in the Megastore window. After the game their picture was gone. We knew they were off... Just can't remember who it was though!

Was McIntyre or Holmes I think. Or both

Both left mid season….

Yea and I think that’s when they got taken down

Can’t think who else I may have been (Carroll?) but I do remember that there being comments on McIntyre and Holmes no longer being on display

Maybe the club has been working on resigning players in some sort of preference order and doesn't want that to be public?

Maybe they want to do one big extension announcement once everyone is sorted, or like for the first day of training?

I assume JJ is Joe Jacobson so has a clue, not some twitter nomark

Chameleon Given Savage is front and centre of the kit launch I'd be very surprised if the club were involved in negotiations to sell him.

I'm not sure I have any concrete examples, but I'm sure that's happened before. Maybe Long?

The media people aren't going to be party to transfer discussions.

To some extent I agree - but in a well functioning club the media team agree the list of players involved with kit launches with the operational side. Obviously that's a huge caveat - but I know that this is the case with at least one other league 1 side with quite a few departures expected.

It's not a Savage is definitely staying sign, but it's a good clue that as of the date of the photos being taken there were probably no reasons to think he was leaving

For the sake of completion, three youngsters also have extended agreements for another year:

MF - Joseph Barough
GK - Tom Norcott
GK - Matthew Rowley

Players may have agreed in principle, but they're still away on holiday or something and waiting for them to come back to do interviews, etc...

Or they've been waiting for the kit release so they can do all the PR shots in the new kit.

I'm only worried about Mbengue, the rest will either stay or be replaceable. I guess losing Craig or Wareham would be a shame.

If we weren't already appealing, Pereira and O'Connor should convince potential signings that we mean business. We'll get top L1 talent in.

It's a good point. The deals for O'Connor, Wing and Pereira should encourage them.

I do worry about Craig, he seems to fly under the radar a bit but he's such a good holding midfielder with a bright.future

Pure bit of spaculation but what about Lawrence Shankland, ooc, good goal return at Hearts. Seasoned pro. Just wondered whether we would be looking at him.
Would prefer him over Mullin
