Mbengue says farewell to fans on Instagram:

“I want to thank you from the very bottom of my heart for the past 3 seasons. This was my first experience in English football and I loved every minute of it. You made me feel at home from the first moment I arrived and I will carry our special connection with me for the rest of my career. I felt like one of you!!

“Also thank you for all my teammates, all the coaching staff , the kit man , and everyone working at the club who supported me every day!!!

“It is time for me to start a new challenge in my footballing journey. I will be following Reading’s results closely next season and I hope to see the club back where it belongs very soon. All my love.”

I don't begrudge Mbengue, he was a great servant in our darkest 3 years and has earned at shot at the Championship.

Doesn't mean I don't hope QPR get relegated and he barely plays.

Can’t blame him to moving to a bigger club. If we had decent owners he would have been tied up on a long term deal at the start of the season.

Good luck Amadou. A bright light in a dark time for us.

Selles looks like he’s about to get Bindon into SheffU on loan for the season.

Would prefer him to be working under a manager he didnt already know to learn new things, but good luck to him.

Seen some folk get excited over the development fee for Jamie Gittens going to Chelsea. Think they’re going to be very disappointed when they realise we will only receive a couple 100,000’s at best.

I ran Gittens' details through a compensation calculator (had to guess some elements) and it showed Reading's fee as €300k.

So if we add compensation on top of that for

Mbengue
Wareham

Probably
Ehibhatiomhan
Craig

Saved wages for
Campbell
Akande
Dean
Holtzman
Carroll
Bodin

That should give us circa £500k-£1m to replace 10 players?
