Sutekh WiFi looks dreadful when he plays through the centre, terrific on the left but really not a striker, I hope O’Mahoney is the deal but remember he might have scored loads at youth level but then so did Paul Brayson.

Thinking about it more though the issue has been that, despite the innumerable number of midfielders at the club, there has been virtually nothing of any note created on the pitch so do we actually have a management issue of some kind that needs to be worked out? Perhaps too many options and no idea what to do with them - yet.

Still think we could do with a half decent striker from somewhere but understand that requires shrewd scouting and even then probably a decent wedge of cash on top but it could be the difference between obscurity and the play offs.

We played a LB at RW, Sackey in Knibbs role and kelvin missed all of Gills and half spurs. Where did you expectthe goals to come from?

We played a guy converted to LB last season in an emergency at RW. Teams that scouted Garcia at youth level had him down as an attacker and were initially surprised to see him playing LB in the first team last season.

If the rumours about Cole and Ritchie are true, then fair play as Couhig's "strong strong squad on day 1" statement will have been true.

Will obviously take time to gel though, so would still expect a slow start.

Friday, 5pm is the cut off time for registering isn’t it? Or am I confusing it with the time for Crackerjack?

Good stuff

What’s the deal with Bowler - any idea? Assume he wants more money or something

If we have signed Lane and Ritchie, you must assume Bowler is off. Interesting to see where he ends up; if he was trying to change his salary demands, I hope he goes on to regret it.

Indeed. And looks like we told Bowler he could do one.

GK: Pereira, Stevens
RB: Abrefa, Yiadom, Ahmed
LB: Dorsett, Jacobs, Ryan
CB: O'Connor,
CB: Burns, Stickland
DM: Wing, Fraser, Spencer
CM: Savage, Borgnis
AM: Elliott, Kyerewaa, Sackey
LW: Ehibhatiomhan, Camara, Garcia
RW: Lane, Ritchie, Osho, Okine-Peters
ST: O'Mahoney, Cole, Tuma

That's pretty strong. And several of the fullbacks can cover the missing CB.

And we may end up with Knibbs still here on top.

I suspect we'd see a late loan or TDD cheap option to bolster CB. And a replacement for Knibbs if we sell

I forgot Clarke too. Who can play LB or CB and I'm hoping stays fit and gets his chance.

Agreed. Being greedy, I'd like to see another centre back come in, someone to add pace and experience at the back. Perhaps another specialist left back as cover, albeit Dorsett or Garcia can play there (I did say I was being greedy). Then it's a case of replacing Knibbs, assuming he's still going, but Jacobson said they have contingency plans for that eventuality.

Down to Noel to get them playing well now.

EDIT: Scratch the left back, completely forgot about Ryan and Clarke until I read Snowflake's post. Would rather they got a chance there.

Particularly in a five, which we may need to employ against pace this season.

Yeah a quicker CB is lacking, experience less important for me if they have pace.

According to OS, Knibbs has gone to Charlton after all.
