Don't think I've ever hated a Reading team before......but I feel damn close......I never want to see Jakob wearing the shirt again, and there's one or two others he can take with him. I guarantee some of his teammates are gonna blow up at him in the changing room.

andrew1957 Just ha ha. We wouldn’t have lost that game if Hunt had been in charge.

Same players, very similar system. Hunt's record was average. Quite likely we'd have been beaten

Agree, the squad is absolutely dreadful. Not necessarily individually but as a whole with a shed load of similar players in similar positions, naff all options and nothing different.

Definitely not......but Hunt isn't innocent in all this shambles either as some seem to gloat about.......It was his job to make them fit and improve them and he clearly has done neither......just moulded them into his awful drab system.

I remember Pants Day which was aimed at the players in a similar situation where the anger was at the players, and it was effective. Long enough ago for a repeat?

Got a horrible vision of Leam turning into Kier Starmer over the next few months. Can hear him explaining the reason we are shit was all due to the previous management whilst we slide towards relegation.
I note tha Jacobson had been conspicuously quiet and hiding from the obvious problems that have stemmed from an inexperienced CEO and crap recruitment. Can only assume Jacobs is somehow related to him.
Really fear for the future under this management team

One positive at least we still have a football Club to moan about. After today I wonder why we even bothered to save the club. Clearly the new owners or players don’t care as much as us.

You all take this far too hard and personally. It’s just a not very important match.

Shit happens. We've lost out on some money. It's not like we were in with a chance of winning the thing. Everyone gets turned over by a non-league team sometimes.

The beauty of football is as long as there's life in the club there's a better future out there eventually.

How long will it take to get us out of this slump. But I'm pretty confident it'll be a hell of a lot quicker than starting a new club in the 9th tier while Dai still owns the only viable stadium in the town.

How is it clear the new owners don’t care?

The voice of reason ...though with respect on this occasion you're talking bollox, that result wasn't just about the team , the football club has been shamed and humiliated by a National League club at home

Well now I’m hope and digested the game a bit. Let’s get the moans out the way first - injury time and extra time was absolutely awful. Embarrassingly terrible. Carlisle offered very little and somehow scored 3. They were barely chances they scored from. Need to see the goals back but they looked shocking. Stevens especially had a mare

——

For the first 90 we weren’t bad at all. Would have been the most routine of cup wins. Carlisle barely threatened and we could have scored 3 or 4 more

Jacob actually had an excellent first half. Lane was good. Kelvin in and out but threatened. Jacob was playing very high and wide and Yiadom more in a back 3. In fact up to about 75 mins I’d say it was pretty positive - the only disappointments were Doyle and Kyeweraa who I can’t see LR sticking with at all

The subs really hurt us. Taking Kelvin off meant we lost any real physicality (WTF has signed all these ‘midget’ forwards?) and that killed us. Mom had some nice touches and linked with Kelvin but that all went with him going off

In terms of system Wing was much further forward and we were hammering in a series of decent crosses through Lane and Jacob and almost scored through a great header from Kelvin (I think). Kyeweraa didn’t put a single cross in, but did one nice cut back.

There were plenty of positive signs. It’s a huge shame we crumbled so embarrassingly. Stickland is just invisible and Stevens was awful. We just totally lost the plot

I think we’ll sign one if not two CFs in the window

make no mistake, we’re fuming, but Carlisle are far from park-team’ or part-timers.

They have, and like any club will do, have done a job on us, with Sparky as manager they very nearly pulled off a miracle escape last season……they played the full 90 minutes plus……….and what a.substitution Linney proved to be

I'd suggest the Carlisle #9 and #10 as Forwards to sign in January.... please..
