Esteban
Royals and Racers Charlie Austin at Basingstoke !! Come on FOC keep up :) not any more. :D

Charlie Austin left Basingstoke at the weekend. Only played 4 games for them in the end, scoring 1 goal.

...somewhat vindicated here  wasn't even aware he'd signed for 'stoke in the first place ...until I tried to see where he'd been (and gone) after Totton.

It was - good to see Garcia get a goal.

The Chelsea team had Axel Disasi starting a centre-back (coming back from injury maybe?) and €20m signing Deivid Washington came off the bench! Fairly certain both Shumaira Mheuka and Sam Rak-Sakyi made multiple Conference League appearances for them last season too.

Up next for the U 21’s and U 18’s are matches in their respective league cups.
U 21’s make the long trip to Hull on Friday 21st November for their group A match KO 7pm. The Royals currently lead the group P 2 won 2 points 6. The match is being played at the Dransfield stadium home of North Ferriby FC.

The U 18’s play their Group H match on Saturday 22nd November at Bearwood against Burnley FC KO 11am. Royals have played 2 drawn 2 points 2 and this is the final group game. Royals will need to win to stand any chance of progressing as only the 8 group winners qualify for the QF’s.

Jacob Borgnis has joined Slough on loan for a month: https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2025/n ... town-loan/
Reading Football Club can confirm that midfielder Jacob Borgnis has joined National League South side Slough Town on loan.

The 21-year-old has made three appearances in the Vertu Trophy this season, making his debut against Swindon Town and scoring his first Royals goal in a 3-1 victory over West Ham United Under-21s.

Captaining Peter Scott’s Under-21s in the Premier League 2, the New Zealand youth international has also been an unused substitute in two FA Cup clashes in the last two seasons.

This means he is eligible to feature in their Round Two clash with Macclesfield on 7th December, live on TNT Sports.

Moving to Arbour Park for one month, Jacob will link up with former Royal Scott Davies and his Rebels side in the sixth tier.

Sat 23rd in the division, Slough beat Beaconsfield Town 8-0 to progress into the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup Quarter-Final on Wednesday evening.

We wish Jacob and Slough Town all the very best.

Josh Welland was in goal for Beaconsfield in their Southern League match against Stotfold; they lost 2-1.

Borgins played the entire match as Slough vs Gloucester ended 1-1. Gloucester won 4-3 on penalties.

Been a good loan for Kanu. Definitely has something about him so hopefully he’ll be pushing our first team next season

It has so far and hopefully he'll have developed enough to be a squad player for us next season.

I imagine Stickland will leave at the end of the season, opening up a slot in the first team squad for him. Burns will have returned to Man City; Derek Williams will be 34 at the end of next season. Certainly should get some opportunity next season for us all things going well.
