Eintracht's abysmal CL campaign reaches its inevitable conclusion as they squander a 2-1 lead to goals after 80 and 94 mins to lose in Baku.
They join Kairat, Slavia Prague and Villareal in being out before the final round of group fixtures.

Since you mentioned them, maybe last season but definitely this ,I have followed their progress with interest.
They really are a good side aren't they and , despite their successes , continue to be over-rated.

Yeh, I watched them a lot last season in the Europa League, and backed them to win it at 50/1. They lost in the semis against SpursSurprised their team and manager haven't all been poached yet

listened to a thing the other day where they asked the same question of the B/G manager and the pundit said he is really well paid (miles above any other manager across the Scandinavian leagues), has loads of control over how the club is run, is massively appreciated there, and just really enjoys living in his own country and managing the best team. Has apparently been approached a number of times in the last few years by big clubs and says no each time. Celtic & Ajax both tried to get him recently and he wasn't interested.
