Probably not necessary seeing Andrew has been as good as disowned by the royal family.

100% get rid. Unless that old pcunt sold a few paintings, the £12 million the Queen paid out to buy off Andrews victim was effectively our money.

If we can’t rid ourselves of the Monarchy then at least rid ourselves of this pathetic, cap doffing, lick spittle nickname.

Everyone loves biscuits. Whereas, barely anyone at all loves jug eared, baldy, paedo lizards.

Feel this should be a question of to Ditch the Royals "Yes" or "No" rather than going back to the Biscuitmen.

If we did drop it, not really sure what the new nickname would be though.

Definitely get rid, really don’t want the local comedians at other clubs chanting back certain things whenever someone in the Reading contingent shouts “come on you….”. The club has returned to the original biscuits, bricks and bulbs connection of the town so about time the fans returned to the old Biscuitmen moniker as well.

The Biscuitmen was dropped when Huntley & Palmers moved to Merseyside; feel we need to change the name but maybe to something new, maybe something to do with technology??

Calm down.
The Royals nickname is F/A to do with members of the Royal family.
Its derivation is geographic. Reading is the county town (capital) of the Royal County of Berkshire, whoever lives at Buck House.

Huntley & Palmers stopped production in Reading 50 years ago, why would we go back to that? it would make zero sense.

Why would the club have a biscuit themed away shirt? It would make zero sense.

This doesn't meant you have to drop the name. Lots of clubs still have their historic names despite the industry leaving.

Maybe our new nickname should reflect Reading's place at the centre of the UK's high tech Thames Valley?
