Sutekh Is Keane fit? Funny he appeared for a few minutes and then disappeared again next game, now we’re being told the same thing has happened to our other striker. Something seems very fishy round here….

Can’t see Patton being recalled & asked to lead the line, place on bench maybe.

Presume he must have aggravated it in training, or late v Vale. If the former it’s a ? over training methods.

In one of the Chronicle articles I put in the injury thread, it said Keane was “coming back to fitness”.

Ehibhatiomhan will start if Marriott is out, but Patton would certainly be on the bench (if he’s been recalled in time).

If O’Mahony returned from his own injury, it would be his chance to show he wasn’t a couple waste on a loan signing too.

Can Reading even recall Patton on a half-season loan?

Nothing reported yet at the Aldershot end of things.

I think we can from National League clubs and lower. We’re still able to loan to them at the moment too. IIRC, it’s usually sometime in March when the transfer window closes at that level.

We should be cautious about the news until we see something official though.

Patton will be starting by the end of the season. Ehibhatiomhan is rubbish - why should have waved goodbye in the summer when he started dicking about with his contract.

Wonder if we'll stick with the same gameplan of do nothing for 90 minutes and hope Marriot scores out of nowhere even without him in the squad.

That doesn't look right at all.

........................Pereira
Nyambe, O'Connor, DWilliams, Ward
.................Wing....Fraser
..Doyle..........Savage..........RWilliams
.......................KelvinE

With Randell and Doyle floating a bit. And potentially Nyambe pushing up more often ans Ward tucking into a back 3.

He’s been fine when starting tbh. Did a good job when Marriott was out

He's obviously not rubbish... but he does seem to be less effective than when he first broke through.

People know him more and defend him better. But he is a bit of a modern 'doesn’t really have a position' player. Not really a striker, not really a winger not really a 10. Bit low energy out of possession. Skillful quick feet but a over intricate and casual with it. Big but doesn’t really win a lot in the air, doesn’t physically dominate. Doesn’t have blistering pace.

Just, sort of looks tidy and an occasional threat without much to show for it.

Too much nuance there. In about 3 years he's delivered a handful of handy bench cameos and a load of underwhelming, unfulfilled potential.

Marriott's injury is last chance saloon for him, and the smart money is he'll fail again.

Well he’s 22 and 100 league games so very much doubt it’s last chance saloon. And another year next year

He definitely does need to get some numbers in, agree there though. And this is a good chance for him

No one has a clue, can only presume it’s a recurrence of his back injury but could be anything. Assume all will be filled in by Leam in his post match interview.
