Two play offs in two years. Failure.

Stockport are iirc 4 losing play offs in 6 years.

Fair play, leaving when you’re basically on top.

First rule of hobnob, I can remember 19 and bored shitless but I can’t remember the last few years.
How exactly can franchise “just chuck money at it” they will be required to work within the same FL restrictions as all other member clubs and don’t exactly have much more resource than Reading or many other sides in L1.
Well Birmingham spent 40 million and nobody batted an eyelid.
MK are hardly a Birmingham and if Birmingham had failed, and were still at this level, no doubt they’d currently be suffering rather badly under various FL penalties. But if MK want the risky gamble then good luck to them.

Yes, I wish we had him and wouldn't be surprised if he got the Blackburn job.

Maybe best for him and for the club-I remember hearing a manager say once that there does come a time where, if you keep most of the same players, the motivation fades hearing the same message every day so either players need to be changed or the manager.

Yeah, the one line in that Southgate drama that really resonated with me was along the lines of “it’s our fourth tournament, do we really need to reinvent the wheel?”

I can only believe that he has left of his own accord to take a bigger job, rather than being mutually terminated. Perhaps Richardson can be in the running to take over. It is in his area of operation geographically. They did get counter attacked in the final and as he proudly states, “We lead the league in the fewest counter attacks conceded”.

No oxf*rd way.... Haha

I really like Wayne Rooney on TV. Everytime he talks about football he seems insightful and honest. I've seen him on Stick to football and other shows, and he's very funny too.

I wish he'd just do his podcast, continue media work and just not try the management route

(After he relegates Oxford to league 2)

Looks like they are actually replacing Broomfield with Aaron Ramsey. Guessing that means we could see Chris Gunter as his assistant manager.

Source? The FL’s own website does not list any club as being currently under embargo.

Tom Burrows, writer for The Athletic. Not listed as it will be officially announced later.

Thanks, news appears to now be trickling out, seems the punishment comes in relation to the League One Salary Cost Management Protocol which demands that clubs must show that they are able to fund planned player expenditure at the start of the campaign. They’ve already splashed a reported £850k on Cagliari’s Nic Prelec and picked up the free transfer of Hearts defender Frankie Kent but suppose now their plans will be somewhat slowed for a while (they’re apparently currently in for Archie Collins and Jordan Thomas).
