Two play offs in two years. Failure.
Stockport are iirc 4 losing play offs in 6 years.
MK are hardly a Birmingham and if Birmingham had failed, and were still at this level, no doubt they’d currently be suffering rather badly under various FL penalties. But if MK want the risky gamble then good luck to them.Jackson Corner wrote: ↑02 Jun 2026 01:00Well Birmingham spent 40 million and nobody batted an eyelid.Sutekh wrote: ↑27 May 2026 07:47How exactly can franchise “just chuck money at it” they will be required to work within the same FL restrictions as all other member clubs and don’t exactly have much more resource than Reading or many other sides in L1.stealthpapes wrote: ↑26 May 2026 22:27
First rule of hobnob, I can remember 19 and bored shitless but I can’t remember the last few years.

Fair play, leaving when you’re basically on top.
Yes, I wish we had him and wouldn't be surprised if he got the Blackburn job.stealthpapes wrote: ↑02 Jun 2026 01:27Stockport are iirc 4 losing play offs in 6 years.

No oxf*rd way.... Haha
Looks like they are actually replacing Broomfield with Aaron Ramsey. Guessing that means we could see Chris Gunter as his assistant manager.Stranded wrote: ↑22 Jun 2026 08:13And rumoured to be considering replacing him with Wayne Rooney.morganb wrote: ↑20 Jun 2026 12:13 Oxford United sack head coach Bloomfield

Thanks, news appears to now be trickling out, seems the punishment comes in relation to the League One Salary Cost Management Protocol which demands that clubs must show that they are able to fund planned player expenditure at the start of the campaign. They’ve already splashed a reported £850k on Cagliari’s Nic Prelec and picked up the free transfer of Hearts defender Frankie Kent but suppose now their plans will be somewhat slowed for a while (they’re apparently currently in for Archie Collins and Jordan Thomas).
