Car Parking next season

by STAR Voice » 19 Jul 2006 19:14

Just to confirm, contrary to popular rumour, that the HP car park will not be completely unavailable next season. It has been secured by the club until October at least, with efforts being made to secure it longer or find suitable alternatives.

Also, STAR has secured match day car parking for a number of our members within walking distance of the MadStad. This costs £80 for a season but places are going fast - see http://www.star-reading.orgfor more information.

What about a cycle park - do I have to buy a ticket to park my bike?

Having spoken to the guy organising it they should be going out tomorrow. He apologises for the delay but his mother was taken ill and hospitalised which does take away the time you have for these things.

I am amazed but there are nowhere near 100 applications yet so there should be no trouble getting it. Given it will £7 in the club's car park and a long wait to get out you can park there for £4 a game and probably be in your car and away before the club car park starts to move.

Assuming this isn't a whoosh, no you don't.

The cycle park is free and situated by the burger bar opposite the Megastore.

Go to http://www.star-reading.org and you will find application forms for both. The car park forms asks for your STAR number so mark it as applied for and we can co-ordinate to get the number before the car park ticket gets sent out as it has to have your membership number on it.

It looks excellent, and I would certainly have taken it up had I not already paid for my parking. This looks better and cheaper, so I now wish I had waited. I suspect that cancelling my application to the club will not be doable. Damn

Well done indeed. How about organising a STAR beer tent alongside the parking?

I would happily pay £3 to park my bicycle at the Madstad

Hi. Just wondered if the car park tickets have been sent out yet? I haven't received one - so should I assume that I missed out?

As it happens you will have the chance to cancel your car park ST with the club as they are offering that chance following the fac they are now short of spaces and are warning you may have to park by the Dome even with an ST.

Download the STAR form and apply first as you have until August 23 to get your money back from the club
