scumbag Good interview by Dellor with SJM. 'Good progress' being made with new investors.

First we've heard officially that Anton is selling...(or is Sir John selling up?). What a feckin way to run a club, or anything for that matter. Fans are treated like sh1t always.

Cureton's Volley
John Peel Come on, let's get behind the team.

We did. Great support second half today. 'The team' didn't match our passion I'm afraid :|

I think the team's passion did match ours second half. Although where I sit in Y25 I wouldn't say the fans were exactly great support at times today eg overuse of booing and some f-ing stupid comments. Oh, and the chanting for ALF after Sharp's (ok awful) penalty miss was pure class.

John Peel Let the angry, cynical knee jerk comments commence.

Come on, let's get behind the team.

Hardly knee jerk, we've been saying the same all season, the performances are not good enough overall. The crap we've had to suffer from supposedly this new style is unbearable at times. We've not managed one complete decent 90 minutes of football all season just random bits of games here and there, it really is not good enough. If there is not serious investment in January in better technical players then promotion will be out of the question. Trouble is I can't see where the money will come from even if we could attract the necessary talent. In addition questions need to be asked of the management and coaching as I'm sure it can't all be down to the players, for example some of our movement off the ball is non-existent and likewise at throw ins.

The Le Fondre chant when Sharp missed the pen is pretty much the most retarded thing our fans have ever done.

To be fair to them they're probably excited about Christmas and about having no school for a few weeks.

Sharp wasn't in the game at all and Reading had done pretty much nothing right in the first half. I agree with them.

Alfie was superb when he came on tbf. Immediate impact when he fouled someone to prevent us getting a corner.

FWIW I'm not defending Sharp's performance, I just think it's fcuking moronic to chant Alfie's name immediately after the penalty miss. Great way to absolutely destroy his confidence.

Agreed. Fans were angry, but that wasn't gonna help.

You mean when a Wigan player took a heavy touch, saw the ball was going out for a corner and dived? They did it on two occasions and both times the ref fell for it.

Pog wanted to take the penalty (wish he had). Bit of wrestling between him and Sharp. Wondered if they had a nominated penalty taker before the start of the game.

The ball kept moving as well before he took the penalty - Sharp replaced it once and then the wind blew it back from where he wanted it and it looked like it was sat down in a divot when he took it. No doubt having their centre back in your face for about a minute before hand didn't help.
