I said earlier no problem with letting either of the first two in individually, but both is just a bit much... exact same thing and you know he's going far post both times. 2nd he just didn't stretch. Third, never had any expectation he'd save, but you want a keeper to pull off miraculous saves in those circumstances sometimes. I don’t see him ever doing that.

Awful, awful, awful. Second in every area, no closing down, made Sunderland look like Man City, embarrassing. Particularly bad were Yiadom, Hendrick (haven't seen him have a good game yet, a really poor signing so far) and Joao. Kept wondering why the bookies still have us as one of the favourites to go down despite our great start, and now I know.

I'm bemused at best - v Stoke - 2 up front, dynamic team effort that deserved the win - tonight long balls to the lone Joao - I mean WTF.

My first post of the season ! How can you give any player a mark for that performance , not one of them. did anything worthy , that were all rubbish .
All season I have been reading comments on here of how Holmes has improved , sorry I don’t see it , he is as unsuitable to be a centre half in this league as he has always been . Does he command his penalty area or the centre of the pitch NO ! Compare him to ,Hicks , Curle , Sonco , Ingarmerson , Bikey , Mills , and others , nowhere even close ., and too keen to pass the ball back or sideways . Does he head the ball powerfully clear or is it a battle ( foul) to even get his head on it ? Also too often in the wrong place . ————- But tonight he was not alone , there were plenty others keeping him company !
I just always see him as a liability .

Stayed until the bitter end and that was terrible but it’s what I am expecting this season, good days and bad ones. A fella next to me said that a lot of players have a virus but not sure how many.

Fair play to the Sunderland away support, especially on a Wednesday night. My old mum supports them so she’s happy. She took me to the FA cup final in 1973 but I still stuck with Reading.

Sunderland were good. Quick, lively and aggressive. Thought their LB was excellent. But nothing to excuse just how bad we were

Slow, predictable, easy to break down. We looked utterly hopeless

Really hope it was just a one off. Complete contrast to our other home displays.

Loum seemed half fit, Hutch, McIntyre and Holmes played too high and are just too slow. We seemed to lose every tackle. And when we did stumble upon some good chances the shooting was absolutely terrible

I never leave games early (except for 7-0s) but tonight that was dire, I left with 20 mins to go, you will go a long way to see a more one sided game than that, awful, just awful, sitting in 4th place with a minus 5 GD.
Give me 20th place now please.
