Based on their forum, they've sold around 2,300 by last night.RG30 wrote:I see Charlton took the full allocation for this weekend initially but not seen anything to suggest they have sold that out.

The novelty of Reading is also fadingstealthpapes wrote:Down a bit on last season, guess the novelty of, say, Bolton or Exeter is faded.
Weren't the Bolton game on Easter weekend and prices super cheap last year? Plus we got a dipping up there last year.stealthpapes wrote:Down a bit on last season, guess the novelty of, say, Bolton or Exeter is faded.
yeah, fair. You'd assume that they'd kinda balance out over the season?Hendo wrote:Weren't the Bolton game on Easter weekend and prices super cheap last year? Plus we got a dipping up there last year.stealthpapes wrote:Down a bit on last season, guess the novelty of, say, Bolton or Exeter is faded.
Exeter Tuesday night game this year v Saturday afternoon in August last year.
Guess things like that will also come into play.

How many games is enough?
Take last season. After 3 games, our average was 1181 away fans. After 23 games, it was 1220. A 3% change, likely insignificant.
Just as a back of an envelope bit of maths, the differences between values (hundreds) are typically smaller than the values (thousands), so an outlier will likely average out over 10 games, let alone 23. The biggest single swing would be maybe 1500 fans, which boils down to 65 in the average over a season.
Just as supporting evidence, this is the summary from last year - most games in that 3rd category or close to either side.
Over 2000 - 1
Between 1500 and 1999 - 4
Between 1000 and 1499 - 10
Up to 999 - 8
