Rinomhota the unsung hero that half. Carrying the ball, winning free kicks and has read the danger and made some key defensive interceptions when it was 0-0.

He’s dropped back and tried to force something to happen when he’s not getting service which is good. He’s not happy to stand there and let it all pass him by.

I.e. best player on the pitch but can’t hit a barn door from three paces?
I'll take it.
Agreed. McAnuff in my top 5 Reading players.

Yes I always do ever since it was a thing. I finally googled today and it said I might need to do a software upgrade on my sky q box. So I did, and it’s working fine now! Hoorah

I was about to click renew on the NowTV subscription, and decided not to. So i suspect that explains the most clinical 45 minutes in years.

Definitely looks to have something about him. We'll no doubt train that out of him during the international break.

Nah still very young I’m sure composure will come. He’ll be in the prem soon enough.
Yep, really dangerous player. His misses today were just a bit unlucky. Composure to take it round the keeper then cleared off the line, followed by a shot deflected narrowly wide. Neither showed a complete lack of composure or bad decision making.

Been fine for me.
Twice I`ve got a blank screen, the first time it re`started before KO, then again just before HT and it re-started in the 16th minute.

I have said on here before (boring?) that Reading's success ratio to chances created is fantastic, e.g. hardly 4 chances producing 3 goals.

The first half an hour was oh so dull but we are now the corner kings and the "defending" for Marriott's goal was local league standard and not even non -league-no wonder Clough didn't get carried away by their 5-2 win last week and made such a big thing about their defending.

Hopefully the confidence that the players must get from having a 3-0 lead will help them to see this through.

Well, can’t say we looked like a team who would go in 3-0 up at half time. Lovely third goal, showed we have some class.

But one thing I want to see a lot less of:

1) Players receiving the ball and then standing still with it for what seems like 10-20 seconds before shrugging and passing it backwards. I can imagine this happening once or twice per game, especially if the opposition are heavily marking, but I counted 4-5 times in one half. What is that about?

Really frustrating watch until the first goal went in. Better after, I hope we keep that pressure up and don’t come out and throw the game away.

Just rewatched the Ward goal. Lol at their keeper fumbling it then dragging their defender out the way.

To be fair to him that was a great bit of defending to deny him after he rounded the keeper and his other shot got deflected just wide. He's been immense other than that.

Eh? I thought he looked one of the better players on the pitch.

Yeah that was two hilarious moves by the keeper to ensure we scored.

Just waiting for Clough to make a minor tactical change at halftime and us not being able to react to it.

It would be nice if we could find a way to play it into Earthy’s feet up and around the box more, because he looks like he would create quite a few chances.

I know that’s not the game plan, though…
