I'm never sure of the point of comments like that when there is clear evidence that proves them to be wrong.

Whatever way you look at it - all the money is signed off by Sir Mad and in 2004 he would have still been putting his own money in, so does it really matter - any funds would have been from Sir Mad

Just correcting your spelling of a world famous artist. Oh and pointing out that Madjeski bought the statue before the bid for Brown, so saving the money from that couldn't have helped him buy the statue. Which came from your post.

Not too difficult to follow where I was going. As for the specific value, I couldn't be arsed to look up the exact figure so rounded down to £4m for simplicity.
