I don't get Bradley Barcola, tbh. I don't see him as a difference-maker.
I think, as with Pedro Neto and Rayan, it is the pace of the player over and above other attributes that is attractive.

More likely to get close to that by selling Fernandes, Palmer or a youngster like Acheampong or Estevao.
Chelsea have moved from signing players I have not heard of for sizeable amounts of money, to trying to sell players I have hardly noticed for huge amounts. Neto played a full 90 minutes for Chelsea last season 13 times, and the season before just 6 times

Caversham's Jamie Gittens must wonder what on earth he has done

I mean, yeah, what a dickhead. This has happened over and over again and still they choose the money, or the prestige of signing for the club. Went from first choice at Dortmund, and scoring four times in the Champions League, to making just three starts in all competitions last season at Chelsea (16 overall appearances, no goals).

On Chelsea - yep, they will keep finding themselves 'trapped' by these big contracts. Neto signed for £51m two years ago, on a seven-year deal. So when they sell him, they have to write down £36m cost of his transfer fee.

John Stones close to joining Inter. That feels like a nice one.

Possibly means Bastoni (who i have been saying on here for years is the best CB in the world) is off to Real Madrid.

According to 'Dave OcKop', who is pretty trustworthy on all things Liverpool, Mo Salah is to join Besiktas.

To add some symmetry to the thread…

The first player mentioned on this thread Javier Hernandez has just signed for my newly formed local team Atletico Dallas.

Good value. He's got a lot of potential, just made the wrong call last year joining Chelsea before he was ready.

So he went to Chelsea for £30m-ish, had a stinker of a session, a few injuries and now £40m is good value? Football economics is mental.

Nice. We're supposed to be getting a USL team - Ozark United. Were due to start playing this year, but haven't even broke ground on the stadium yet, so think there's a funding issue. Shame all the rich folk here are more interested in cycling.

Quite a lot of transfer activity going on in Turkey with Trossard going to Fenerbache.

My Galatasaray mate is a bit worried especially as he fears that their star man Osimhen and their good full-back might be leaving.

That deal was being threatened by agent shenanigans last I heard.

Maybe harsh of me, but I feel like Welbeck is the kind of player no one talked about or even really had an opinion on, but then he went on a nice short goalscoring run for part of a season at 35, and people are falling over themselves to be front of the queue heaping praise on him, in that weird competitive way some people are on online, like they want to make out they were appreciating him when others weren't

+1 Bonkers! At best, he holds his value.

Does he even average more than 10 goals a season over his career?
