Suspect that Puscas is sadly another signing that hasn't worked out. Hopefully the money constraints will mean that new additions are carefully selected and slot into the style of play.

Not been a disaster by any means - 18 goals in about 60 games isn’t it? But yeah not quite as good as hoped

Not the goals contribution per se. Never fully settled in. Not an integral part of the team as we don't play to his strengths.

To be fair, Joao was so good for the majority of last season that he was basically undroppable until the last couple of months - I don't think there was any way to fit Puscas in, which isn't really his fault.

Yeah. Thinking about whether we could have set up differently to accommodate both, it's probably not really.

Meite and one of the midfield would miss out in a 5-3-2

One of Ejaria, Olise, Laurent and Rino would miss out in a 4-4-2 with Meite RW. Two had Swift been fit.

Not sure Joao or Puscas could have effectively played LF and again one of the above misses out.

Seeeing the highlights, some lovely crossing from Yiadom. Super goal from Ejaria. Absolutely delightful. And his saved header wasn't bad either!

Tetek probably should have scored on his break, but only a whisker away.

Defending on their break was rather poor. Crosser was beyond his man to receive the pass, LB and midfield was nowhere on the back post run, Dorsett(?) bit weak in the centre as the ball went across the goal - that last might be a bit harsh. Cabral no chance

Looks like we played a behind closed doors friendly against Brighton and won 2-1.

We finally win a pre-season game when no one is around to see it, we seem to do alright without fans.

Goals were a Swift penalty and a long range strike from Azeez.

Yep he looks a prospect - bit frustrating if he is stuck on a one year deal. Hopefully can do something with it if he starts the seaosn for us

I just did a google on Danny Loader and he scored 8 goals in 32 appearances for Porto B team. Would anyone take him back on loan right now?

Those same lessons also give us Ryan East, Tennai Watson and Sam Smith though. Given big 3 year deals after a handful of appearances and end up being a huge waste of money. Definitely not what we want in our current circumstance and having finally got rid of nearly all the dead wood

What we do need to do is quickly identify if he can do it at champ level and then extend if he looks like he can
