For sure. Think you need to cut a new, young team some slack for the opening 2 games, but no excuses can be made against Wimbledon.

I don’t think a defeat is the end of the world, but it would be a start of some worry.

I want to see (well I want you lot to see, I'll be travelling) some more creativity up top.

Worth remembering we're arguably down two first choice defenders, and Wing got injured today. It's hardly a great start on top of having to bed in two thirds of a new team.

Yeah I totally expected to lose the first two games and hopefully we will start to click with one or two more additions to the squad as this ain’t the finished team so I ain’t panicking yet.
Still think we could be considerably weaker than last season even after we have completed our business.

You can't have panic stations after 3 games with the window still open. But if it's a similar story against Wimbledon as against Lincoln and Huddersfield, the scale of the task to get this team performing is clearly a lot bigger than many of us currently appreciate.

Frustrated more than worried tbh

There was some very good stuff today. Pressing was good. Fraser first half, Elliott 2nd. Defence generally good

If burns had made it 1-0 we’d have been happy with that first 70 or so.

Felt the subs messed us up, and not for the first time with Hunt. Once you take O Mahoney off for Kelvin we’ve no CF. Kelv did alright but you want him coming from the left. Camara sadly really does offer very little and Doyle is not a winger. They also didn’t press anywhere near as well as the original 3 did

Lane and Kyeweraa certainly had their moments but unsurprisingly no chemistry up top yet. O Mahony did better but he isn’t a target man

I really like Noel as a person and hope he can get it right but it just feels something is lacking to me that just bringing in more experienced but average strikers (Cole, Aneke etc) isn’t going to fix

Feel we've got some nicer one and two touch passing through midfield going now, than last season.

Settle everyone in over the next two or three games, get a couple of goals and I think things will start to come together quickly

Maybe the worrying thing was that Huddersfield didn't get out of first gear. They looked weirdly uninterested, like it was a pre-season friendly.

The sad truth is that we lost some of our best players, and have brought in players who'll add depth, at best. We just aren't very good. Last season we overachieved. If we underachieve to any degree this season, staying up will be a bonus.

Of course, we could go out and sign a player or two who'll change things completely before the window shuts, but recruitment so far has reminded me of Tommy Burns' 'magnificent seven', when we just brought in players who were available, rather than ones who'd actually help.
