I think it was 1990/91 but in the last 30 years the closest we’ve come to being cupless by December is losing the final cup game on 8 December (York in 2001 FA Cup and Bournemouth in 1998 LDV)

Yep, nobody really cares about this stupid cup unless their team gets to a semi final and an overpriced day out at Wembley becomes an actual possibility.
