One salient point is that RFC did not create very much, seems the same all season, do we still have the lowest shots on target in the division?

I just fail to see us creating, which is spoiling it for me, and we do not really seem to push on, same as creating I suppose.

Well we've scored 24 which if you look at the table is pretty comparable to most teams around us. We were never going to create the chances we did last year.

and Reading do shoot, our 4 goals in the last 2 games show this. They just don't shoot everytime they see the goal in the corner of their eye like some teams.

Our main weakness is our defense, our goals let in this season shows this.

Heres a non biased view from someone who knows what he's talking about.

Man Utd were the better side, the game was totally one sided especially in the second half and that is reflected in the possession and shot stats. Reading scored as a result of two woeful errors and never looked like creating anything themselves BUT United's first and third goals were offside IMO so Reading can feel hard done by. In defence of the linesman for the third his view was blocked by a United player.

I thought United played OK but only really played well for 30 mins in the second half when they stepped it up. If Rooney and Ronaldo has stayed on the score would have been five or six as they (and Giggs) were tearing Reading to bits. The decision to bring them off and bring Richardson and Fletcher on almost backfired on Ferguson. That said they had enough chances to win two or three games and only some good keeping from Marcus kept the score down.

I thought Reading were disappointing and didn't play nearly as well as they had at Chelsea, but part of that was down to facing a much better side. A plus point has to be Lita, in both of the toughest away games of the season he has done little but when a chance has come his way he has finished it, a sign of a good striker and fair play to him. Doyle was non existant today and it looks as if being played out of position combined with the sheer amount of football he has played this season has caught up with him.

The ref was wrong to send Sodje off, but you can't go around lunging in at players when you have just come on.

Man of the match for me was Ronaldo, he was in a different league to everyone on the pitch today and set up the first and scored the other two. No one really stood out for me in the Reading side except Marcus who made some cracking saves and couldn't have done anything with the goals.

I expect abuse, but my view of the game is spot on and deep down everyone knows it so don't bother showing yourselves up with the predictable abuse.

I'm not sure I agree with you about Reading being disappointing, they created more chances and had more goal attempts than they did against Chelsea. They also had three key decisions go against them.

Certainly not disappointing. I thought we created a lot in the first half, but got overrun in the second. The game illustrated the gulf between the clubs very well, and it's a relief to discover it's not greater than it is.

Anyway, back to reality on Monday. We could really, really do with a win. Let's kick WHU while they're down.

From what i heard it was a real battling display by Reading today and after two tough away games we have come away with a point we didnt think we'd get. Many teams with 10 men at old trafford would have folded like a pack of cards so we have come away with credit. Reports say that the sending off was a bit dodgy, though i have to say Sodje does not fill me with much confidence as a reserve defender. Every time i have seen him he looks nervy and unsure- i just dont think he can cut it at this level, he is 27 already and is probably at the peak of his career. I really think that we need to get cover in this area in the window as Sodje is all we have as cover at CB. The game against West Ham for me is massive- win it and we are almost 4 wins away from the Hammers and onto 30 points, lose it and the gap closes to just 5 points and we start drifting in the relegation candidates area.

Man Utd at home being the better side against Reading, what next the wheel??

To say Reading were disappointing alad is bordering on the ridiculous, a side put together with the resources we have shouldn't even compete with a side like Man Utd, but we have, TWICE.today we have been absolutely done by the officials, TWICE arguably THREE times.

I was there, have no bitterness towards Man Utd, I have nothing but praise for what they have achieved and much prefer them to Chel$ea. But their fans until they were 3-1 up with a couple of mins to go were absolutely non existant, ours were ok. That's not the point though, this isn't a singing contest, it's a football match.

In the game itself, Reading competed, they made it tough, defended well, tried to play when given the chance, but teams like Man Utd don't allow you to play. They are a top top side, they are expected to beat a team that wouldn't even add up to the cost of Park Ji Sung.

The United fans were very complimentary towards us, all credit to them for that, enjoyed the day, just very very disappointed with the officials not doing their job.

Just seen MOTD - both 1st and 3rd goals could be classed as level to be fair. Sodje second yellow was probably technically correct but Rooney's little verbal volley hardly helped - wish he could put as much passion into playing for England. I must say I though Mike Dean had a poor game, not helped by his appaling 'assistant' on the side nearest the RFC supporters whose game was best summed up by rushing over to help Brown to his feet when he crashed into the hoardings. Let the players do that, eh, mate - and if he needs treatment, well the physio might be able to help. I wonder if this particular linesman took his autograph book along - he looked a little star-struck. Unlike the RFC players who showed some b*llocks again today; well done lads.
