Conspiracy Theory: Ince is trying to take us down.

Away against high flying Blackburn, he played an attacking side with a back four. Despite our utterly abysmal away record.

At home against a poor, out of form Hull side, he plays an incredibly slow negative side, despite our comparatively ok recent home record.

He complains about having had a tough string of games and the players being tired (the games were hard tbf). But he made 3 changes for Hull, 4 for Blackburn, 4 for Sheffield. So it's not like even close to the same XI has played them all. And he's not exactly made great effort to use his younger fitter players in that period.

Will be interesting to see who P.Ince picks for LB against Brizzle!! He clearly prefers the square peg in round hole approach and our last remaining option at LB is NGW whom he clearly doesn't rate.....which is beyond me. His three/four crosses were excellent and on another day would result in a goal, yes, he's not the best at defending, however, is he really any worse than Babba or TMac?

I'm becoming more and more convinced that the problem with Paul Ince is that he is just not very bright.

I'm sure he's a decent human being and family man with his heart in the right place. He's probably a great friend to have, a good laugh in the pub and will always have your back in a street brawl.

However, listening to him swearing during a radio interview, not knowing when or when not to bring on subs, consistently playing square pegs in round holes and playing attacking football away at promotion-chasing Blackburn but a defensive back five at home to middle of the table, nothing to play for Hull, leads me to suspect he's not a deep thinker.

I like the bloke but I think he's out of his depth.

When the injuries pile up, results nearly always take a downturn, and confidence suffers. The players look scared of making mistakes, and that shows in the amount of negative balls we play around the area.

In fact I'd say our game was summed up by that last gasp free-kick. It could have been swung into the box, but instead it was played sideways to a player who wasn't better placed to do anything with it. Players are not taking responsibility.

Yes, Paul Ince is definitely too cautious at times, but a new manager won't fix the problem of our threadbare squad.

That said, if the club was to get trigger-happy again, now would be the best time, with two weeks until the next game. We have seven games in April, and that's not the kind of spell where you want a lot of upheaval.

I would prefer Ince gone but if he was asked to achieve an objective and did so, should we sack him? Are we Watford?

Saw that Hull flew to us and back. Since we rarely fly anymore it's probably a reason our away forms so bad especially up north where there are 4-5 hour coach journeys. Sadly we don't have the money for it

A couple of weeks ago the squad was far from threadbare. We're not even remotely making the best use of what is actually there. And the constant insistence on playing people out of position and in combinations that can't cover each other well, plus negative tactics forcing us to be under pressure and at last resort constantly is almost certainly contributing to the number of injuries we pick up.
