I’ll admit my first reaction wasn’t especially positive based on his Rotherham record which was what I remembered
But after a bit of reading up he seems like a pretty solid choice and wouldn’t be against it
Think the only fly with this appointment - and probably what gets people questioning its sanity - would be the part played by Paul Cook whom Leam generally assists in all his ventures. Paul is currently manager at a rather useful Chesterfield so unlikely to see him decamping.
Can waive his Rotherham stint somewhat given they perennially do not get on in the Championship no matter who manages them. He’s certainly been through the mill at Wigan and seems to have good man management skills about him. At the end of the day though any appointment is going to be a risk esp. given Reading’s recent managerial record.
