Getting relegated with young players playing passing football > staying up be the skin of our teeth playing hoof ball with experienced and so called reliable players.

Sanchez has one thing going for him and that is his Reading connection. But seeing as that so many didn't give Rodgers that I'm not sure I'm willing to give Sanchez that.

PAUL Hart and Mick Harford will be offered the QPR managership until the end of the season only.

But if the pair works out, a three-year deal will be carrot-like dangled in front of Rangers' 10th management set-up in just over three years.

Last night, club lawyers were thrashing out the exact details of Jim Magilton’s sacking, with the legal eagles making sure they had player statements ready to back up allegations the outgoing boss had in indeed assaulted Akos Buzsaky.

The bust-up that ended with the Hungarian winger wandering in front of the stand at Watford 12 days ago after the 3-1 defeat will allow Hoops to dismiss the 40-year-old Northern Irishman for gross misconduct, and send him on his way without a penny.

Hart’s return to a dug-out comes less than a month after he was sacked by Portsmouth, although Harford had a five-game spell in charge at Loftus Road in between the departure of John Gregory and the arrival of Luigi Di Canio two years ago.

The former Luton manager left the Hatters in October, but as popular as Harford was last time – both new bosses are set to arrive after Alan Curbishley and Steve Coppell turned down QPR overtures.

Curbishley is still awaiting the final payment as part of a settlement from West Ham, and Coppell has decided to take a break from football for the rest of the season.

QPR are quietly hoping a club will make a decent offer for Buzsaky in the January transfer window as well.

There are some at the club, who felt the player should have kept the changing room row in-house – and his removal from the squad on Monday for the 2-2 draw at West Brom came before he pulled up with slight medial ligament damage.

Kaspars Gorkss scored his second goal for Rangers when he nodded the second against WBA – but admits he still doesn’t see himself as a shoo-in for the team against Sheffield United on Saturday - whoever picks it.

Caretakers Steve Gallen and Marc Bircham paired him with Damon Stewart for the eighth different back four in a row at The Hawthorns. And despite his hand in both goals, the Latvian only underlined the uncertainty around W12 this week.

He said: "We have a bunch of decent players here so we should be able to play well regardless of who plays."

No management experience what-so-ever. As far as I know no coaching experience what-so-ever. Probably not even qualified to be manager. What a LOL worthy suggestion.

Reading Football Club can confirm that, following the departure of Brendan Rodgers today, Brian McDermott will take responsibility for first team matters forthwith.

McDermott has been with the Club since 2000, fulfilling a number of roles including a very successful spell as reserve team boss, guiding Reading to the regional and national titles in our inaugural Premier League season.

Seriously, WHY would JM go for Ferguson - who's completely unproven in the championship and has, himself, already been sacked in this division. It would be like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

McDermott doesn't fill me with joy either - no disrespect to him, but he's got NO managerial experience at first team level at all, has he?

We're in the mire, we need an experienced, calm, manager - who can encourage the players to play to their best abilities, maybe bollock a couple of them where necessary - someone who knows how to instill more confidence and has managed extensively before. However, this person would cost money and I can't see JM throwing money at a new manager's wages. I'm fully expecting JM to say there is no money for the Jan transfer window, but I do think the majority of the players we have, esp if we bring back Davies and include him, could cut it at this level with the right coaching.

As I said earlier, if we get Ferguson, I'll not throw my toys out of the pram, but I don't think it will be a step forward.
