It's two players missing - there's no goalkeeper. Tbf, the other side on that board is playing a 4-4-3, so maybe we decided we're going to lose anyone so what's the point of fielding a full strength side.Royalwaster wrote:According to the magnetic board behind him on that photo he is planning to line up: 3-5-1 with one player permanently injured off the pitch - or is that some amazing strategy to beat the off-side trap?Winston Biscuit wrote:![]()

He's been tipped off about the next sanction to be imposed by the clowns at the EFL.Royalwaster wrote:According to the magnetic board behind him on that photo he is planning to line up: 3-5-1 with one player permanently injured off the pitch - or is that some amazing strategy to beat the off-side trap?Winston Biscuit wrote:![]()

Very positive words from Bowen and am enthused about the fact that they have defined a philosophy for the club and have hired a manager (Yes Ian, I said manager) who they feel fits and is ambitious.
The players we are starting to be linked seem to fit what we are looking for - so whilst the club remains an absolute shitshow, it feels like the footballing side is slowing getting its act together.
It's going to be even harder, as the opposition seems to be allowed to have 11 outfield players too, in a 4-4-3 line up.Royalwaster wrote:According to the magnetic board behind him on that photo he is planning to line up: 3-5-1 with one player permanently injured off the pitch - or is that some amazing strategy to beat the off-side trap?Winston Biscuit wrote:![]()

I guess it shows that he's prepared to deal with the odds staked against him ...tmesis wrote:It's going to be even harder, as the opposition seems to be allowed to have 11 outfield players too, in a 4-4-3 line up.Royalwaster wrote:According to the magnetic board behind him on that photo he is planning to line up: 3-5-1 with one player permanently injured off the pitch - or is that some amazing strategy to beat the off-side trap?Winston Biscuit wrote:

Hoping it turns out to be be a very good appointment but we've been here so many times before saying that only to witness a disaster unfold. This has to be the start! This must be the beginning of a project which will see us collectively drive this club forward. And that project absolutely has to include our supporters at every turn. Speaking personally, I wholeheartedly appreciate our fans’ patience which I know has been severely tested.
"Now, with Ruben at the helm, we will aim to revitalise this club and propel it along the right path.

I just wanted someone who has been thoroughly considered, interviewed and had been chosen as genuinely the best candidateSouth Coast Royal wrote:Lots of words, just like Bowen.Stranded wrote:Good read and makes me think that we could have someone very good on our hands here.
Watch him get fired before Xmas now following a 4-1 defeat at Lincoln.
It sounds like so many of the other managers we have had pre-Ince who have been all over the world with smallish time clubs .
We fans wanted somebody seasoned in the lower echelons of English football but we have now got another version of so many others before.
One day we may get a "brave" appointment right, hopefully this is it although sending restaurant vouchers to millionaire footballers sounds a bit desperate to me.
Can't wait to see him in a suit and I'm not even gay ...genome wrote:
