The ED looked totally empty

They might need to rethink that stand - it’s not really working atm

I thought some of the criticism for Dorsett last season was a bit unfair.
But yesterday, he was probably at fault for all 4 goals - let the player come inside for the first, should have headed the ball away better for the second, got the ball away for the third and not jumped in on the halfway line, leaving a huge gap at left back for the winner.
Really need a proper left back.

Whilst I don't think Dorsett covered himself in glory for the first goal, the empty midfield didn't exactly help.

Having watched them back on telly, not sure I’d blame Dorset for goals 2 and 3. He was being challenged at the back post for the second, and had to get something on it. Not sure if he could have put it anywhere else, but I’d blame whoever was meant to be marking Palmer more. Everyone charged back onto the goal line, no one noticed that Palmer had stood still unmarked.

For goal 3, Ward and POC both went to the ball, leaving Wells unmarked, then they both went towards Wells, leaving Palmer unmarked.

Think goal 4 was just a collective failure.

Get a bit pissed off with all the Dorsett hate.
He's not a left back, accept that, he's a centre half, it's down to the management that he's playing there. As for that second goal, he did head clear the free Kick, given away by Marriott by the way.
It was down to someone on the edge of the box to try and clear it.

I don`t know what he could have done, he was under pressure from one of their guys at the back stick.

Yeah was a poor challenge by Marriott after he’d just coughed up the ball before but you’d hope as a collective we’d have defended it better

Don’t think Dorsett could have done too much else, we were just very slow to react. But like the 4th goal and to an extent the 1st goal

Dorsett is a trier. I like him but he’s been messed about on positions and is prone to mistakes. He’s prob a centre back and wouldn’t be aghast to see him alongside Ward

And it was right on top of him - he did well to get it far as he did.

Yeah, I don’t think Dorsett played particularly well (out of position), but he wasn’t really any more to blame for all four goals than the rest of the team.

We just don’t seem to communicate very well at the back, with everyone either sticking and nobody closing down the threat, or everyone trying to close it down and leaving men unmarked.

Our defence just doesn’t seem to have very well defined zones. Obviously you want to press but leaving opposition players in so much space is crazy.

I note there's a clip doing the rounds of Jack Wilshere's half time team talk. A team talk full of confidence and determination to turn things around. Be interesting to see how LR's team talk matched up in comparison.

Could be affected most by it being school holidays at the moment. Usually looks more empty in August

Yeah was an interesting watch. Not sure if they were struggling against counter attacks that we scored from as such - just woeful bits of defending. The defending and keeping for our second was horrific all round whilst 1 and 3 were awful individual errors
