Gibbs at the moment, although I'm sure I'll come up with a few later when I'm home from work.

This is the same Kieran Gibbs who is actually classed as a midfielder (by Arsenal's own website) and has only ever made 7 league appearances whilst on loan at Norwich.

I was would rather we signed someone to left back who is actually a left back and who has a bit more experience under his belt. Mattock doesn't have much more but he has still played 4 times as many matches as Gibbs.

Anyway I can hardly wait for you to get searching on the web later to see what other names you can find

I can't believe people are seriously suggesting Gibbs as a replacement for Shorey.

The kid is a little lightweight winger. He may have filled in occassionally at left back but if you've seen him play you can see he's not a defender.

The couple of times I've seen Mattock play he's looked pretty sound at the back. He's read the game quite well and shown he knows how to cover his centre half. If we got him I'd be pretty pleased. The only thing going against it is his lack of experience which is made worse by the fact that we haven't got any experienced cover. Options of Golbourne and Mattock isn't great if neither of them progress and show they can play consistently weel at this level over a whole season.
