Selles’ next game is a trip to see Fwank on Saturday.

That doesn’t sound good does itMid Sussex Royal wrote:Selles comments last night: "everything around the club indicated it was time to go"
That means we're either about to move into the next stage of pain or the takeover is nearing and he knew he'd be replaced by the new owners.Mid Sussex Royal wrote:Selles comments last night: "everything around the club indicated it was time to go"
That's probably a generous interpretation, and not the main part, but also likely to have been part of the decision. From Despair To Where? wrote:I took it that he meant the team was in a good place and we had someone who could step in with minimal disruption.
Didn’t notice that. Good spotBrogue wrote:Just noticed something. And I don’t think it’s be mentioned anywhere. Remeber Jared Dublin? Head of scouting, lasted a year and fcuked off to stoke… he was appointed sporting director at Hull in October. Which probably explains why hull came in for selles and why Selles chose Hull. Apologies if it had been mentioned. But thought it was worth sharing.
Was the goal against Hull?morganb wrote:Just seen a clip of Ruben Selles and Abu Kamara publicly addressing the winger’s social media post following the New Year’s Day loss to Middlesbrough which drew criticism from Tigers fans.
He'd posted a smiley emoji to one of his friend's at Portsmouth who'd just scored his first Championship goal for Portsmouth
Typical Selles doing things in public and shaming players like he did here when he first arrived - might work, might not...
Would have been funny if it was!Snowflake Royal wrote:Was the goal against Hull?morganb wrote:Just seen a clip of Ruben Selles and Abu Kamara publicly addressing the winger’s social media post following the New Year’s Day loss to Middlesbrough which drew criticism from Tigers fans.

Ahh, that is a bit daft. I'd have just ignored it personally, and let it all blow over, but Selles does like to get people to face fans wrath.morganb wrote:Would have been funny if it was!Snowflake Royal wrote:Was the goal against Hull?morganb wrote:Just seen a clip of Ruben Selles and Abu Kamara publicly addressing the winger’s social media post following the New Year’s Day loss to Middlesbrough which drew criticism from Tigers fans.

Guessing it was Ryley Towler who scored for Portsmouth against Swansea? Portsmouth are 21st and Hull 22nd so liking a goal for a relegation rival probably not that smart
Apparently posted on IG very soon after the Hull game ended. Didn't help that many Hull fans were not happy with his role in their last minute loss either!Snowflake Royal wrote:Ahh, that is a bit daft. I think he wants to lay down the terms of playing under him early - he wants the right characters in the squad.morganb wrote:Just seen a clip of Ruben Selles and Abu Kamara publicly addressing the winger’s social media post following the New Year’s Day loss to Middlesbrough which drew criticism from Tigers fans.

He was criticised heavily by the pundit on Sky on the live commentary for not tracking back properly on a Boro break which lead to the winning goal 90+4 mins.....so probably would have made sense to keep off social media for a whileRoyalBlue wrote:Apparently posted on IG very soon after the Hull game ended. However, he didn't get the full Hutch treatment, so it looks like the public humiliation and apology will pretty much be the end of it and that he still has a role to play for RS.
