Not a great performance from him, solid enough, but I think Dorsett has cult hero potential:
- Homegrown
- Being played out of position, but an honest tryer
- Slightly strange body dimensions, always looks somewhat awkward
- Solid 1v1 defender against players at his level, hilariously bad 1v1 defender against players that are better than him
- Often looks like he has a terrible touch, but occasionally makes deft flicks
- Does strange and amusing things, like tripping over nothing and falling on the floor, passing the ball out of play under little pressure, and ambling around with the air of a man daydreaming
- Definitely has a completely unexpected moment of brilliance in him

I look forward to seeing how he develops

Continued to look good in the second half, and carried on playing football despite the lead. Really enjoyed this performance. Promising display, good showing from the bench, future could be looking bright if we keep this up.

Don’t get the Dorsett hate. He makes some howlers but also does some brilliant things like the through ball to Lisbie. I like him myself and he used to primarily be a CB so is playing out of position. Clearly LR rates him.

Lane is like a different player this season. Thought he was very good. Ward is impressive and Rino and Wing work well together. As for Marriott what can you say? Brilliant second goal. Lisbie looks exciting.

However, overall thought we were pretty awful for 35 mins and the result was more down to terrible defending than anything, but this team should get better as the season goes on. We just need less injuries this time!

Positivity is starting to spread. We have a well-balanced team and really glad we’re now getting others on the scoresheet alongside Marriott.
Great recruitment and player retention over the summer.

Three clean sheets in a row. 8 goals scored at home in 2 matches. And a decent thumping of Stevenage away in the cup.

Team confidence should be soaring.

Yeah I like him too - thought he was 7/10 tonight, and he's only young, and not really a LB - he is also amusing/unpredictable/fun. I get it that in games when he makes a howler (which he will sometimes) and our frontline fails (which they will sometimes), eyes will fall on him. I do hope the fanbase won't be too horrible to him - he works hard, has a lot of positive attributes, but is unpolished and needs time.

Win fully deserved in the end, but 1st goal really was key. Mansfield could just have easily have got it and then the game looks very different.

I guess the challenge for all teams is to have enough for those moments can go against you but you know you're good enough to turn it round and come out on top. Teams who can do that will get promoted.
