Yes, several footballers share the exact same surname as the clubs they played for.
Notable examples include
Dean Saunders: Played for and managed the Welsh club Saundersfoot, and also notably had stints at clubs like Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield United
.James Chester: Played for Chester FC (and also clubs like Hull City and Aston Villa).
Modou Barrow: The Gambian winger played for English club Barrow.
Fred Blackburn: A historic player born in the area who played for Blackburn Rovers in the late 1800s
David Templeton: Played for Templeton FC in his early youth days before moving to clubs like Rangers and Hearts.
Justin Edinburgh: Played for various clubs, but is uniquely tied to the city/club name of Edinburgh through his management of Edinburgh City.
In fact none of those are true. Wtf Google

EDIT: Looks like Fred Blackburn did indeed play for Blackburn, so we do have a winner.

Do think Manchester United should be legally required to sign James Trafford.

What have Franchise FC got that the bookies rate them alongside Stockport, Huddersfield, Plymouth and Poxford!!!! I guess another mid table season under Leam Ball....that should make for a fun experience at home to Burton or Wigan on a cold Tuesday evening with 6,000 fans in attendance.
Time to move Club 1871 back to where it was and take in some extra money with a full away end behind the goal. Sheff Weds, Leicester, Oxford and Plymouth would probably fill out and generate more cash.

Fairly certain Milton Keynes have new owners who are going to chuck some money at it.

How come other clubs get new owners who are going to chuck some money at it?

I may be misremembering, but I think we had one and it didn't go so well.

Think that was on a different scale as we've seen loads of clubs spending money and benefiting from it at our level, think we are the only club to spend money without any benefit

How exactly can franchise “just chuck money at it” they will be required to work within the same FL restrictions as all other member clubs and don’t exactly have much more resource than Reading or many other sides in L1.

Maybe they have a manager that likes to play a bit of decent football.

No it’s why they are 14/1 rather than 33/1 like Reading are quoted.
