MP's must realise by now that a decent majority of football supporters would prefer to have a choice between standing and sitting?

Their plan is to increase the size of the stand so as to not reduce the capacity - a major undertaking for a somewhat diabolical ruling.

Why don't all parties agree that Y25/26 becomes an unofficial standing area? The stewards would leave fans alone to stand, allowing them to move elsewhere. Other clubs seem to have standing areas in all seater stadiums and have no problems. Man City, Palace and Wolves for example.

Y25/26 would be listed as a standing area when purchasing tickets and only fans who wish to stand would be allowed in.

Other than lower leagues no other clubs have official standing areas. Just do some research before coming up with silly ideas.

Hardly likely, all seater stadium, standing not allowed, hardly rocket science, still there is a fans forum due, no doubt all will be there to spread the word, why do i think that will not be the case?

Why not? Who exactly implements these rules? If other clubs can allow standing areas, why can't Reading?

FYI the local authority and the Football Licencing Authority enforce the rules - hence different local authorities can have a different attitude. However I'm not sure there are a lot of other clubs who allow standing.

Yes they are - but their responsibilities aren't going to be taken away, they'll just move to whatever department the FLA is merged into.
