John Ryan has 2 good feet so can play either full back position- also can play further up pitch in wide midfield.Clyde1998 wrote:Looks like Mukairu and Abrefa in for Ehib and Yiadom respectively. No Yids on the bench, but John Ryan appears for the first time.
I’m fairly certain he’s a full back, but can’t remember if he’s a left-back or right-back. I think the former.
Fantastic. Would be good to see him get a go, even if it’s not today. Wonder if he’ll be considered to come on out wide, instead of Ehib or Elliott, if he can play higher up.Royals and Racers wrote:John Ryan has 2 good feet so can play either full back position- also can play further up pitch in wide midfield.Clyde1998 wrote:Looks like Mukairu and Abrefa in for Ehib and Yiadom respectively. Yeah, Mukairu in particular needed to set him up.Chameleon wrote:Smith could have had a brace if people actually passed to him instead of going for glory.
I'm not too worried about other results, think the Bristol Rovers game sealed it for me.WestYorksRoyal wrote:As it stands, not mathematical safe and won't be even if we grab a winner.

With Carson and/or Rushesha getting 20 minutes.
In fact this would be my next three teams.

Something like that anyway.
One memory of Barnsley from the Elm Park days-we scored 6 in front of a watching Michael Parkinson who was embarrassed enough to suggest that the players ought to make a visit to a coal mine to see what real work was like.![]()
A bit Barnstonworth United from Ripping Yarns fondly remembered by some of our older posters.
Allan Clarke was the Barnsley manager.
You must have jinxed it, 2-2 now.dontbedaft wrote:Surely Port Vale 2 - Exeter 0 also warrants a mention!
