Would be GK, CB and CM capable of matching anyone. Tbf we had that last season, it's always been a case of keep what we have, replace Bindon and strengthen out wide.tidus_mi2 wrote:If we convince Mbengue to sign a new contract, doubt anyone will have a better central defence partnership next season.WestYorksRoyal wrote:Amazing signing. Would complement Mbengue really well if he stays, if not we need another.
Leadership and experience which we've been lacking.

I don't want to run Stickland down, but he is absolutely not first choice material yet.Ascotexgunner wrote:Does this suggest Strickland won't be moving to first choice..... Which saddens me..... Or that Mbengue is defo off.
He's Sinn Fein in the membrane for them.Uke wrote:Looks a good signing
Does he like Kneecap?
If we’re promoted from league one and he’s playing for us regularly, then I think everyone’s a winner.retro royal wrote:Read that he's a bit slow and not likely to be much more than league one player, maybe disgruntled Lincoln fan
I've seen some complaining that he should be joining a Championship side.TiagoIlori wrote:If we’re promoted from league one and he’s playing for us regularly, then I think everyone’s a winner.retro royal wrote:Read that he's a bit slow and not likely to be much more than league one player, maybe disgruntled Lincoln fan

He is
We were alway signing at least 1 CB this summer just because we have lost Bindon & Dean, we may also still lose (and most likely will) Mbengue.Ascotexgunner wrote:Does this suggest Strickland won't be moving to first choice..... Which saddens me..... Or that Mbengue is defo off.
Mbengue played the final third of the season with a heavily strapped knee, and if you watched him in the prep for corners he was constantly stretching his knee out and rubbing it.Ascotexgunner wrote:Does this suggest Strickland won't be moving to first choice..... Fair chance he won’t get through a medical if that is the case surely.Greatwesternline wrote:Mbengue played the final third of the season with a heavily strapped knee, and if you watched him in the prep for corners he was constantly stretching his knee out and rubbing it.Ascotexgunner wrote:Does this suggest Strickland won't be moving to first choice..... I wouldn't be surprised if he has a chronic knee injury that flares up and is being managed from game to game. I'm sure not he will be a regular player.
