Portsmouth News confirming talks have taken place but there is also apparently Championship interest - would imagine it will come down to where he feels he'll get the most football.

Yep - 2 year deal with first year as mainly a player, 2nd year more coaching could be good for him - depends on how much he still wants to play.

39 apps at Champ level last year says he should still be very decent at L1 level - unless the legs have gone over the summer.

Could see him becoming our first choice RB.

I hope not. Abrefa deserves his chance and Ahmed looks very capable behind him

Would make a bit of a mockery of extending Yids too.

Think extending Yids was a mistake anyway. Abrefa looked very good on Saturday, just hope he can stay fit.

Agree.

Camara looking increasingly pointless with all the fancy dans coming in.

But then at the time we had a squad of about 8 players. Hopefully Yids took a substantial pay cut.

More likely to be left back than RB

Yeh, assumed he was right footed as he mostly played RM for Pompey, but looks like his only stint as full back has been LB with Newcastle.

Since when has Ritchie been a full back?

Probably since he got old at Newcastle.

Played left back for 3 years at Newcastle. Also not unusual for a winger to convert to full back as they get older. Don't think anyone's suggesting he's been brought in as a full back, just that he's an option there if we need it.
