What’s the issue with the loyalty points?

You no longer get a job lot or 255 points to be precise when you renew your ST. Now you only get them when you turn up to a game, 10 per game as a ST holder, 10 per game as a One Royal Core subscriber, 12 if you opt for One Royal Plus or 14 if you stump up the extra £350 per season for a One Royal Elite membership.

Bleak conversation with my old man yesterday - we both still haven't renewed, having had season tickets for 20+ years.

Blind loyalty & 'because we always renew' are literally the only reasons enticing us to currently - but genuinely not sure if we will which is a sad state of affairs - especially given all the renewals head of previous seasons.

I know this has been sent before by plenty, but I have never felt more unmotivated to renew in all my years as a Reading fan.

- Football is dire
- Last game of the season left a real sour taste
- Hate all the 'razmataz' that has come with these new owners, with what seems like a 'fireworks will solve everything' approach
- Very saddened to see the latest round of redundancies at the Club where some very good people have been let go - people that care and really get the Club

Genuinely think if there was an option of an away season ticket I would happily go for that and not renew home ST - but would never happen.

It does kinda surprise me that this approaching season is the straw that broke the camels back for some people. It’s nowhere near as bleak as recent seasons.

- It’s stage 2 in development from scratch.
- the new manager hasn’t even had a full season yet.
- “Good” people get let go all the time.
- I’ve been to home games and not seen a single firework; easy to avoid if it isn’t your thing.

We are in transition. Yep, it’s not been great. But are people really saying it has little chance of improving? To my mind we are just as likely to get promoted next season as anything else. Who really knows? Things could really click for us, and if it doesn’t - well, I doubt LR will be around much beyond November.

Hit the nail on the head. Saw a stat the other day that out of all the clubs in the EFL we are currently on the 5th longest streak without a promotion after 14 years without moving upwards. Combine that with what we were served up last season and literally nothing positive I can see to motivate me for the season ahead - what else is there other than blind loyalty or repetitive behaviour to come back. Access to away games is the main/ only concern.

I’m not sure I will tbh. Have done for the last 10 years but I didn’t enjoy last year and missed a lot of matches. It’s not just the football wasn’t great, it was the general negativity and often nastiness about the place at times - maybe I just drifted onto social media too often

Also my lads are more grown up now - used to be the thing I did with them on a Saturday but it’s not the be all it was for them a year or two back and they’ve other interests etc

Tried to renew my ST this morning, It's there reserved and ready to buy as a product already reserved for me.... but the button to go to the next screen to, I assume pay for it doesn't work

Have tried on multiple devices and browsers and have followed the instructions precisely.

Anyone else having this issue as I'll mention it to the ticketing office when I call up later.

...had similar issues yesterday and it kept rejecting my payment.
No idea what I was doing wrong/not ticking a box perhaps (it wasn't explicit) so got stuck in a loop - it said I had 'reserved seats'
- I logged out/in a few times - kept at it and it worked eventually - on my desktop as opposed to my phone?
Previously had issues purchasing 'extras' for the ED stand - where we are -
in the past the TO have said that had some 'odd checks/conditions' on the system which they can by-pass- so that may be it?

I was renewing for me and youngest (18-24 - last one for him in that bracket after Nov - time flies etc etc )
- in future he won't attend enough to warrant a full ST in the ED. He lives in Nottingham but it's been nice to have 2 seats as an option.
His two older siblings (ex-ST holders) gave up attending years ago, when they 'moved' out - though eldest who lives in 'ding occasionally 'feels the pull' .... hence the need for occasional 'additions'.

I found there was way too many button clicks to get to ST Renewal, not sure who designed that, feels like there should have been a one button prompt on the homepage.

Update: Apparently the area I sit in had a lock in place because they give seats there to certain VIP's so they didn't want fans to buy tickets there but as it's been my seat for years they said they can either take the lock off my seat so I can renew online or I can renew over the phone.

....you should feel rather privileged (VIP area indeed! )
