Well in the new year book it mentioned that if you left 10 minutes early for every game you would have missed 135 goals last season in the Premiership. You pays your money and you takes your choice their loss not mine.

Sorry, Am a new subscriber. Have always wanted to ask the question but didn't have platform, and didn't realise that this had been done to death. One point though, when i go to ticket office for away games am told sometimes 'not enough points' but people that leave before the end (if season ticket holders or every game fans) and only see approx 94% of games in total as a result, are entitled to the same loyalty benefits as me. I know its a bit petty, but it could be the difference between getting/not getting a ticket for an important game.

As far as the club is concerned, they have paid 100% of the price to watch the match, and it is their choice whether they watch 100% of the match, or 0%, frankly.

They should lock the thread for language like that mate, all he was trying to do was make a point. We should all stay till the end, its blinking expensive as it is and there is nothing better than that final cheer. Even if we were 5 down i would stay- there could possibly be the sixth!!

Some people leave early because they don't want to face a 1hr wait of getting out the ground. Some people lead busy lives so don't critisize them.

i lead a busy life work excess 16 hrs a day but 5 mins or even an hour after the game makes no odds to me as i go to the jazz club and grab a pint.

Some people have to leave early to get home in time for X-Factor. It's a real inconvienience having these 3pm kick offs don't you know

If the plastics want to leave let them, the sooner the better in my opinion... just as long as they keep out of my way as I don't pay to see their backs.

Maybe if the concourse wasnt adequate only for a ground a fifth of the size they wouldnt do it.

It's a fcuking joke that place. It's not like they are hiring tax paying staff for fcuks sake.

The very least they should do is have half time walk-around people selling snacks and also have those people stood in the concourse with beer barrels on their backs, a la Ascot etc.

Someone at RFC should go to Madison Square Gardens to see how service is done proper.

obviously a newbie.....for the last few seasons they have had the beer sellers with the barrel on their back....but not on Sat, not sure why

With all the smokers in the West Stand now going outside, I found it relatively easy to pick up a coffee at half time without missing a second of wonderful football.

One of the objections I have to people leaving early is they cut across my view and they are not staying behind to cheer off the team .... but mostly their loss I feel

great idea getting those w***ker smokers out...at half time i could a) get to the toilet b) get a drink with ease and c) breathe....yippee!!

sure, but hardly worth turning up...i solve this problem by bringing my own drink and food...better than the overpriced crap they serve in the ground

a home game for me is a two hour journey there then two hours back. im a season ticket holder. sometimes i leave a couple mins early sometimes i dont (i didnt on sat). if i leave early and catch the first bus i can get the early train home if i miss that train i have to wait another two hours for the next one. sometimes i have to work on a saturday night sunday day because i do shift work leaving those extra few mins early makes a big difference for me.

I got the bus and had to wait about 40 minutes for it.

I never leave early as I spend enough money watching the game and love leaving as the players are clapping the fans and walking off the pitch.

I can understand why people leave. On saturday I waited for about 25 minutes before even one bus showed up. Not good value for money at £3 for a 2 mile journey there and back!

I find the 'some people lead busy lives' etc rather odd, as they imply that you have to leave early to get anywhere quickly. I never leave the the stadium until after the final whistle, and generally get back to my house just north of Swindon by shortly after 6 pm (following a 3pm kick off). I reckon that 70 minutes from my seat in the Madejski to my house in Swindon is reasonable. I might get there 5 minutes earlier if I dived out a few minutes before the end - but not significantly so.

Thus I find it hard to believe that many of the more local departees are really saving much time at all.
