That's what happens when you leave us to join the fake hoops. A dreadful piece of transfer dealing from RFC. They got a brilliant player for a pittance with bloody rentaghost as a make weight in the deal. So under weight that Trading Standards should have been brought in!!

I was disappointed when Asaba left, he didnt deliver what he promised and couldnt head the ball but i think he got a lot more stick than he deserved!! 17 goals...i think... in his first season in that league.
I dont think Shorey or Wdowcyk should be mentioned, they have always been rated!!

Lee Hodges. Started his Royals career up front and was quickly slated, then moved to midfield and started banging in a few goals. 6 goals from midfield in a relegation season isn't at all bad. Got injured in February/March that year and didn't play against for a good 2 years (apart from 1 sub appearance at York in early 99, the week after the Bristol Rovers debacle). Then didn't play again for at least another year after that. Was not the same player after that.

Leighton was the best example of using a Loan move to get the confidence back.
He was superb for us in the short time (6 games) and got his confidence back .

At the time, yes! He had lost his place and came here on loan where did remarkably well and went from strength to strength!

Yes, he was absolutely marvellous for us. But he was hardly underrated was he? He was (rightly) rated.

Yes, he was rated, just suffering from a lack of confidence.
It all started for him at the 1990 FA Cup Final when he was in goal for Man United.

It was the old Aberdeen connection that got him here in the 1st place.
