and what about united? we didn't take a pasting off them, in fact they looked rubbish or maybe it was that we were just good. the "big four" is just a load of hype and as i mentioned before, if boro can beat them why not us?

I think its a good thing some1 is coming on here & posting something positive for a change!! He's only getting behind the team which is what people should do more often on this site! We know it is going to be near impossible to beat Chelsea but why go out there aiming for a draw if we did that against all the "big" teams we wouldnt be able 2 play our attacking football which kept Chelsea at bay!! SO for goodness sake get behind your team like the bloke above!!

Nobody is going for the draw, everyone on this site would love us to beat Chelsea tomorrow and of course there is a chance we will. But at the end of the day a draw will be an excellent result.

I totally agree that coming out of the game with a point is an amazing result but I dont see the point in going into the game only expecting a draw!!

Agreed, you should go in to every game with the view that you are going to win irrespective of the opposition and that is why Coppell is treating Chelsea no different than anyone else. Shame the same couldn't be said of England when they played Croatia.

The only game I've missed so far is the Wigan one and to be honest I can't say that any of the oppositions big name players have really impressed me with the exception of Ronaldo who I thought was different class. A team performance is always in with a chance of a result against the star names and you only have to look at what Scotland and Croatia have achieved of late. Feeling very very positive about tomorrow's game!!

Nobody's saying we can't beat them, we can beat any team on the day. Based on what you're saying we have to predict a win for Reading in every single game?

Also, there's a reason they're called the Big Four, something to do with league position - which is result based the last time I looked.

fair point i suppose, but alot of people just seem to assume that because we're playing with the big boys the best we can hope for is not to get beaten heavily or if we're really lucky a draw which winds me up sometimes.
i've got a feeling we'll do better than people expect tommorow, which is what the team has been doing alot this year.

Dave, that is a shockingly bad argument. I'm a human being so I have as much chance of breaking the 100m world record as Asafa Powell. How do you like that reasoning? The fact is, Chelsea have the pick of the best players in the world and Reading don't. Of course, we can win, and maybe even we will, but a neutral would be mad to pick the win. The Sporting Life gives a very nice case for the draw, and I don't know about you but I'll be bloody delighted with a draw. As Woodcote says, a win (for sure a possibility) would be our absolute best result ever.
