As against Arsenal, I don't think SC has a good record against Liverpool (one cup tie excepted) so I think we're probably looking at another spanking here - but, please God, not 9-0.

My heart says we can possibly get a 1-1 draw, doyle our scorer. But being realistic i can't see us winning this one, or getting a point, so i will go for a 3-1 Liverpool win, but with a much more promising performance, doyle bagging our goal.

In Coppell's interview this week he seemed much more open to changing his team and approach than we've seen for a LONG time.

So, I think he will pack the midfield to avoid another Arsenal-like mauling and look to pinch one on the counter attack. If we can make it to half time without conceding, then we may hang on for a point

I said other than the last couple of games. (Generally) They have struggled for league goals thus far, in comparison to other top half teams (only scored twice more than us, only scored once away from home).

Spending a lot of time on the motorways tomorrow : not only to get scouse pie and chips on the Anfield Road but looking for a performance from Reading.

Three nil down at half time having conceded possession within ten seconds of every time we get the ball. The goals will come from corners and free kicks where a key player gets left unmarked. The third goal will be a rebund off Marcus as he fails to hold an Alonso shot and Crouch gets in first to prod home. We'll battle gamely in the second half and play some half decent football but they will get to four nil before Doyle scores the consolation for us.

There will be enough good football from us to think that when we get to play the 'lesser' teams we will start to pick up points again.

This prediction won't stop me putting £5 on us to win two one though, and we will be the selected match on football first.
