I want to put this to rest.I personally think that qualifying for Europe may not be the best thing. We don't have the deepest side as it is and adding all those extra fixtures (important ones at that) might make us susceptible to relegation. Ipswich anyone? Or even West Ham for another example this year.

Just because a side gets promoted and gets into Europe does not necessarily mean that they will subsequently suffer.
Surely we can learn from the mistakes of the past?
Have there ever been sides go up, get into Europe and not struggle? But as that isn't an interesting story, people forget it?
