Wow, didn't realise there was that much in it. For some reason he doesn't inspire me much. But I'm a fickle bugger until they're in blue and white.Alan Partridge wrote:5 years younger so quite a bit.Ian Royal wrote:Not much younger than Hahnemann though is he. Says that Sorensen has refused to fight for the subs bench place.Alan Partridge wrote:Says they've got 3 very good goalkeepers!!
totally agree for 500k he would be a quality 1st choice keeper for at least 2 seasonsOi Oi Saveloy wrote:Looks like Derby are about to make a move, if you belive what is written on Teamtalk

For that price he would be a bargain.
O'Neill signed Carson and Sorensen said he wouldn't fight to be second place keeper.Ideal wrote:He used to be class, but has been injured a lot the last few seasons hasn't he?
Perhaps some personal problems?
If he sorts himself out he'd be a good gk for that price.

29 Jul 2008 08:59He's failed at Sunderland and Villa - Sunderland went down and didn't want him and now Villa don't want him. He makes far too many errors and although he's a decent shot stopper on his day, he's poor at pretty much everything else as a keeper.Southbank Old Boy wrote:He's by no means shit.Royalee wrote:Because he's shit, which is why he's a free agent.loyalroyal4life wrote:Why not go for him now he is a free agent??
He can have the odd rickett yes and it sounds like he might've lost a bit of focus over the last couple of seasons but he is still a very good keeper.
If he has the right attitude to prove himself all over again I think he'll make an excellent free transfer for someone.
I can't see that someone being Reading now that we're in the Championship and cutting our cloth and all that as he'll be too expensive for us.

What constitutes 'long term'?Arch wrote:Certainly, if we're signing a keeper it should be a long-term replacement for Marcus, which I can't see Sorensen being. 29 Jul 2008 13:305 or 6 years, even 8, for some keepers, though by no means all. He's an older keeper who has never really settled into any Premiership side. What makes anyone think he's going to start now?Alan Partridge wrote:31 isn't he? Which would be 5,6 or more years left. 29 Jul 2008 13:35We in the Premiership then?! Sorensen played a good few seasons at Sunderland and at least 1 full season at number 1 at Villa, combined with being Denmark's number 1 since Schmeichel retired. So to dismiss him as 'shit' as Royalee has done is false.Arch wrote:5 or 6 years, even 8, for some keepers, though by no means all. 29 Jul 2008 13:44Can't disagree with that. Turns out he has over three hundred starts over ten years with Sunderland and Villa. Not bad going.Alan Partridge wrote:We in the Premiership then?! As it is, I don't think signing him would be worthwhile now. Hahnemann is more than good enough for the CCC, Federici deserves an opportunity afterwards to see if he could do a job consistently then if not, it would be worth getting another keeper. Had we stayed up then Sorensen would have been a decent signing to give Hahnemann serious competition.

29 Jul 2008 14:14Remind me how Denmark have done since Sorensen's been between the sticks? Their finest hour has been getting thrashed by England in the second round of the world cup where, funnily enough, Sorensen was at fault.Alan Partridge wrote: We in the Premiership then?!
