I'm a loyal royal and have seen the team in the dark ages of the Mad Stad. I'd love for some of these people to know how tough it was back in those days, just to get 10,000, let alone the 20,000 we got in the PL. Yes, the PL would bring back the plastics, but it generates money. Money is always wanted by the clubs. But then again Mr Mad would take the money and run. Fine let's stay here as we are then.

Tough as it was in those days?

See I have never got this.

It's as if we were bundled in a van, maced, ECT, rounding the boys up, kicking and screaming.

You go because you want to.

Everyone has their line in the sand.

But to be fair, we all know who hardcore is.
It's no Vietnam, it's only watching some blokes kick something around.
Choice.

My enjoyment of watching my team play knows no bounds, same with my mates.
I'm not comparing, but it's apparent.

the likelyhood is that in our lifetime reading will most probably spend some time in league one again- unless we have heavy heavy investment that is the natural cycle of a club like reading so take note the doom mongers!!, though the answer is obviously no i would not get any pleasure out of reading getting relegated that is going a little too far....

Cripple Creek Prompted by the thread "I'm glad we got relegated" - a sentiment I should add which I kind of share - I'm wondering how far we can take this. Would you like it if we got relegated again ...?

No because if I'm not mistaken the Championship has the biggest prize of all the competitions, cups and divisions. It has the biggest bang for buck (£40million prize for spending about £5million) and none of the monopolisation of a few big clubs being head and shoulders above the rest thanks to wealth.

It's relatively even with a gigantic prize.

It is quite simply the most exciting division in the UK/World, quite possibly the toughest (given the players one has i.e. too good and they get bought by Prem clubs) and this all makes me very proud that we have done better in this division than any other club in history.

8) 8) 8)
