The Arsenal keeper, Jens Leheman? I think.gazmandu2 wrote:Slightly off topic, but can anyone recall who the player was that Lita tripped over by bending down to tie his boot laces?
Wasn't it S Hunt though, not Lita at all?Thaumagurist* wrote:The Arsenal keeper, Jens Leheman? I think.gazmandu2 wrote:Slightly off topic, but can anyone recall who the player was that Lita tripped over by bending down to tie his boot laces?
If you reckon 500k is good business for a player who cost us more than a million then I'm glad I'm not in business with you.Deathy wrote:Not when he's off on a free transfer in the summer we wont.Norfolk Royal wrote:No way should we sell Lita for 500k. 500k is superb business.
I think its generally ridiculous anyway. You bring in a player to do a job in the squad. If he does it YES if he doesn't NO, and then you try to minimise the impact of that failure.Row Z Royal wrote:Given that at a conservative estimate of £10k a week for the last 3 and a half years we've already already paid him £1.7m + bonus. And we paid a £1m for him.
We'd have to sell him for nigh on £3m to break even.
All this talk about profit in transfers is ridiculous.
No, it definitely was Lita. Leheman had a bit of banter with Hunt, that was all.Hoop Blah wrote:Wasn't it S Hunt though, not Lita at all?Thaumagurist* wrote:The Arsenal keeper, Jens Leheman? You make a valid point, but we're left with Long off the bench, and that's worrying. Then there's Mooney, who isn't making much of an impression apparently. Not yet anyway. Give him time of course.West Stand Man wrote:Why do we need a replacement player to send out on loan? (if that is too confusing, my point is that it hardly essential to replace a player who isn't even really part of the regular squad.)

With 6 months left before he leaves this club for FREE, it's good business.Norfolk Royal wrote:If you reckon 500k is good business for a player who cost us more than a million then I'm glad I'm not in business with you.Deathy wrote:Not when he's off on a free transfer in the summer we wont.Norfolk Royal wrote:No way should we sell Lita for 500k. That's not a replacement for Lita though, that's the need for a new striker to add to the ones we currently have that the manager wants in the squad.Ian Royal wrote: A replacement is also essential, because we only have two strikers good enough to start at this level, with Long always failing to establish himself and Church and Mooney seemingly a way off yet.
He's a body in the squad who isn't currently performing in the role he should him out and a new striker in would be a replacement. The fact we need a new striker whether he leaves or not just shows how little use to us he actually is.Hoop Blah wrote:That's not a replacement for Lita though, that's the need for a new striker to add to the ones we currently have that the manager wants in the squad.Ian Royal wrote: A replacement is also essential, because we only have two strikers good enough to start at this level, with Long always failing to establish himself and Church and Mooney seemingly a way off yet.
As for it being good business, it doesn't matter how much we paid for him, it's what he's worth now that matters. I'd say £500k would be about right.
Really?Sarah Star wrote:Is Mooney really way off, or just behind Long in the pecking order? I thought when we bought him it was seen as one striker too many.
